Last night was awesome. But The first possession pass interception probably would not have happened if the throw wasn’t behind the receiver. If any team is able to keep Sam in the pocket consistently, I am not super confident in his ability to stand back there and make plays with his arm.
Before anyone says I'm being too critical, Johnny Manziel won a Heisman trophy but struggled big time against LSU because we forced him to beat us this exact way.
All that being said, I was very impressed with Sam overall. He's a heck of a football player.

Leavitt needs to get better at finding throwing lanes. He had several balls tipped or batted by the D line. I didn't realize he was so short.

The other backs didn't look great, but I don't think any of them played with the first team OL, so it's hard to compare. That said, Jones looks a lot quicker/faster, hits the hole, and runs violently relative to all the other backs we saw last night.

Drops— I can live with in game 1. I am super excited about the passing Lanes (pun intended) that will open as defenses scheme around a mobile Leavitt

I’m not 100% sure what you mean by this. We kind of know what they are, as we’ve seen them play. I’m not sure how many teams have multiple “playoff level backs” however you are choosing to define that.

I agree on this. Leavitt didn’t look as crisp throwing the ball as he could, and the drops weren’t great. Both groups will need to be better as we play better competition.

Durham and Berry will get used. They're gonna have their time in the sun. I imagine after Keloy,Davis, and Wilson, those two probably need a little bit more seasoning before they become major contributors.

Agree with both your concerns. The QB in Lanes offense always has more rushing that the backup RB. I hope either Berry or Durham figure this out though.
WR drops- Hopefully with time, they’ll get synced up. Winnie is just so awesome and exciting to watch. Kind of excited to see what Wright can turn into as well.

Jones wasn’t hitting the holes as quickly in the 2nd half as he was in the 1st. I thought that LK would use Berry’s edge speed in the 2nd half but he really didn’t need to show that.
