I love watching Sam run but he scares me every time. I’d like to see more slides.

We need our qb. Running that much isnt ideal, in keeping him healthy. He seems to take off a little too soon, a few times. He could have used mobility to get out of trouble, then found a reciever upheld, instead of running

Coach has talked about being open to using multiple backs or featuring one, like he did w Lacy last year, if one separates himself from the rest of the room.
Looks like we are trending that way for sure.

I wouldn’t say I have serious concerns. I do want Sam to slide more and I want to see what our situation with QB2 is. I don’t care who it is, but I want to see what we’re looking at. Give him some good playing time in the cupcake games.

IT WAS THE FIRST GAME. It wasn't going to be perfect. I give us an A ++.

But I’m not sure any games gonna come down to that
You aren't concerned that Dilin Jones almost always breaks first contact and continues the run whereas Berry and Caden Durham almost always go down instantly at first contact? You aren't interested in LSU finding a true #1 receiver to rely on, especially once SEC play starts?

Where did see him say that?

Only concern after last night is making room in the trophy case.

Sam has IT and is very instinctive will improve as season goes on.

However, we've had an entire offseason. And barry and durham are now on their third and second year as tigers. They still look like they're making the same mistakes running into the back of their blockers and going down instantly at first contact. A bad sign as we move into SEC play.

Just not true, Berry and Durham mostly ran behind the second team line by the time they were in and the scheme had changed as the game evolved.
I for one am ecstatic with the RBs and Dillin is a fukin stud.
Yeah we don't have enough of a sample to be this harsh on Berry and Durham
We've seen flashes of both of them in previous seasons. These guys didn't just regress and start sucking. Eventually they'll get meaningful snaps and make an impact. They just weren't required to last night. The game plan last night seemed to be to just demoralize them with Dillin. The biggest positive take away was the run blocking was fantastic. They made a talented Clemson defense look completely overmatched.

Sam was incredible. Matter of fact , i'm impressed with all of our quarterbacks. That doesn't negate concerns that I have as we move into s.E c play.

Should we be worried about the kicker? Before his first kick, they showed a graphic that he’s 5/9 from 40+ in his career. After last night he’s 6/11.

My take away was the passing game down field was about the only thing that wasn’t clicking on all cylinders. To me that is a thing that should vastly improve these first few games, especially considering where our short pass game, run game, and Qb running is at the moment. Defenses are simply not going to have the personnel to heavily defend passes down the field and defend us underneath. I’ll be surprised if this offense is not on a similar level to 2023 and 2019.

My biggest concern is we didn’t see any flea flickers
Posted on 9/6/26 at 2:41 pm to friendlyobservation
Dillin on the other hand is that MFer.
Dude has incredible lower body strength.
Anyone see his calves yet?

Should we be worried about the kicker?
