Two concerns after last night:

1. RB depth - The stark difference between RB1 Jones and RBs 2-4 was reinforced last night. I pray to God that Jones stays healthy. Simply put, Durham and Berry currently are not playoff level backs. Lean towards them improving as we go, but don't rely on it.
2. WR room (drops, true #1) - We don't look super-confident as a whole at WR. We are electric, but short, and don't seem to have great hands. We were told several times that WRs were dropping too many balls this off-season. This was evident last night. Once Leavitt got in rhythm he was pretty accurate. I know our receivers are fast, but I'm a little concerned about this group.
Big shout out to the defense last night.
Congrats to LSU and Lane. Keep winning baby. Beautiful tigers!

I think Leavitt is going to just pepper Green, Watkins and Wilson with targets

The drops weren't ideal. But, it was the first real game. If after game 3 we are still seeing the same thing that is when the flashing red light activates for me.

Shows how soft BK was. Berry and Durham could barely sniff the field. Kiffin wants physical power at his backs and Durham goes down at the change of the wind. I've been saying that since he has been here he has bad vision and goes down too easy. I can see why he's buried. Might be time to move on from him after this year.

Wright moved up the depth chart last night too.

Just not true, Berry and Durham mostly ran behind the second team line by the time they were in and the scheme had changed as the game evolved.
I for one am ecstatic with the RBs and Dillin is a fukin stud.

This is what I believe he intentionally buried Berry and Durham. I fully expect them to be used more as the season goes on. I don't expect to see them being used like Dillin. They're different types of backs. There's a reason Kiffin kept them on the roster. But man Durham really needs to gain some type of lower leg power or something he goes down way too easy. You can arm tackle him with no problem.

Durham was a popular topic of conversation last year, he just doesn’t accelerate very fast and defenses are easily tackling him when he gets to the line, he’s just not very agile or nimble

Based off what Pate said, LSU knew on Friday they were going to dominate last night. If that’s the case then hopefully CLK isn’t putting stuff on tape that he doesn’t need to. Not worried about the running game one bit

You underestimate Kiffin scheming around this. It's not like Durham and Berry are scrubs. They were highly rated for a reason. They have strengths, particularly homerun ability. I've seen Kiffin's offenses get punched in the mouth in games and he completely schemed around it as the game went on. I wouldn't underestimate him knowing how to use his guys. You can't really measure the other 3 backs last night because they didn't get to really sit behind 1st string offense.
I'll bet you don't see Berry/Durham heavy until the Ole Miss game.

Lane has always leaned on a lead back. He could easily adapt to the guys behind Jones and they'd be successful

I thought Gage looked fine. He and Jones have power and burst.

I was a little surprised we punted instead of trying a 57 yard field goal. He has the leg for it, but from what I've seen can struggle with accuracy at time. I would put money on him hitting a 60+ FG at some point in the season. Anyone know where I can get odds on it?
