This team isn’t as good or clutch as you are implying it is.

What do you expect? They won less than a third of their games all year, so making a regional is more than any of them could have expected. Beating the #5 national seed at their site, who happens to be an in-state rival, would just be lagniappe. They're playing with house money now and have nothing to lose.

How many World Series games do they get before actually getting there?

At this point? One regional tournament + a three game series. It’s post season / road to CWS. It’s not a huge stretch. It’s certainly not how the expression was meant to be used lol.

I have no idea why we are arguing about this, geaux tigers

JJ said that they, LSU, treat every game like a playoff game. So what's the difference??

Good night,I hope he was kidding. If not,how does he explain this past May?

Its gameday and I’ll argue about anything at this point.

But for real, if the threshold is just to win to play tomorrow 100s of teams have been playing World Series games for over a week. That’s my point. The World Series is the World Series. It’s very different from win and go home or even a first game in a double elimination tournament multiple rounds before ever getting there.

Agreed. Even if Tulane somehow wins 10 in a row and wins the Men’s College World Series, they still have an embarrassing record.

So if our bumbling basketball team back in March won the SEC-T and then won the NCAA Tournament, you would worry about "an embarrassing record?"

Why wouldn't they?
It IS their world series!

All 64 teams playing should be treating today like the world series.

This isn't a midweek game.

What is it with some LSU fans and their sad obsession with certain teams? Why is it pathetic that a fan of a team is excited about unexpectedly making it into postseason play?

Some of you guys need to step away from tRant for a bit.

Of course they are.

The biggest thrill in the history of their athletic program is when they beat us 14-0 in 1973.

Yall are so pompous. Live and die with every pitch, then mock other teams who do the same.

If Skenes pitches

Someone told me last night that Skeens is pitching today. I’m just telling you what I heard. This information came from the same person that told me about all the portal guys this year before it was announced publicly. It doesn’t matter who pitches to me. We are playing a 19-40 team today. If this is true about Skeens it just means they are going to keep him on his Friday rotation because he will most definitely pitch the first game next weekend. This way keeps him on his normal rest between outings

My source was correct again
