That’s like saying he played for LSU in football for his undergrad and then went to Harvard for grad school so that be could try and get to the nfl
So it's your opinion that free college is not a motivating factor for players with zero (or limited) NFL future?
He is in graduate school at LSU. It's not far-fetched that he would stay and graduate.

Catch 22. Keep all of them and the attrition after the 21 season would rival 20 and start all over again. 6-10 would be great imo. Ingram is good and will be a player in the NFL. I think he's gone for sure.
With the exception of Clark the LB, Ingram will have the best NFL grade of all the guys still on the roster who are NFL draft eligible for next year, I think 4th-5th round type pick.

Shanahan wants to play in the NFL.
He had never played Center before in his life. He has only gotten better. At worst he is a solid SEC Center.
LSU has no immediate replacement on the roster.
1) Shanihan is awful
2) it was people like you who downed Miles and praised Orgeron for roster management during the transition, particularly in the area is OL. Now we are saying we just keep our hideously bad OL intact because “LSU has no immediate replacement”?
I mean you can’t make this shite up

Yap, cox is a rare LB that can cover.
I don’t think he goes that early, but is a top 75 player. If he has a good combine, he certainly could vault up.
But when I saw him cover the Fla player on the deep pass, I understood. That wasn't just a zone dropoff, he took the TE on a 35-40 yd post, and then was able to make a play on the ball in the air at the end. As a linebacker. That was a Vilma level play.

Would be nice if the rumors of Ika actually returning to team happens as well.

Yes, you want as many to come back as possible: DEPTH.
Hoping against hope but if Jabril Cox would return that’d be fantastic.

Well I have watched every game, I don't think LSU has gotten significant pressure from the middle. I think LSU's problems is this Line has had problems when teams show pressure from one side with overloads and the pressure comes from the opposite side. That is just 5 guys that have not worked together.
So while you think he is awful, I disagree with you. Center has not been the problem on this team on the list of problem areas.

Miles roster mismanagement was controllable
Orgeron’s issues this season have not been self inflicted, for the most part.
Understand the process & not the results & you can get a better grip on it:
Shanahan hasn’t been terrible. He’s been completely serviceable.

Coaches see Marlon Martinez as the Center of the future, I agree with the rest

IMO, There is no chance to retain Ingram, Stevens, Anthony, Shanahan, Logan or Farrell. Once a guy has put in four years, and had a productive season to showcase, he’s got to go.
I think Rosenthal and Gaye are the important ones on your list. Stingley will be back because he would have to take off the whole season without the COVID excuse. Plus Stingley still has a lot to prove. It’s not that Stingley regressed; it’s that the rant radically overestimated him in the first place.
If we get Dare back the line will be solid with Dare and Wire at tackles and Bradford, Martinez, Turner, Hines and Kardell in the interior.
Receivers will be legit with Koy, Boutte and Jaray headlining and Kole as TE. We have a talented bunch of freshmen coming, too.
QB and RBs are good.
Defensive line will have Evans, Guillory, Roy and Taylor. Two are proven studs.
We are loaded at DE. Damone is a lot better than people realize, and we have some young talent at LB.
Ricks, Stingley with Flott and Ward backing them up are a great set of corners. I’d like to see Hampton and McGlothern at safety.

Yes, only a dumb arse wants the only guy who could play the position gone after this season. Most mentally challenging position on the line and only guy who can snap. Liam put on 30+ lbs after arriving, he definitely will be stronger next year and LSU needs him back.

Anyone who has watched him play this year realizes that he shouldn’t be on the field.
Hopefully, he is better than what he has shown this year. Hopefully, he can flush 2020 and come back stronger.

I agree, if there was a guy on the 2nd team that was ready to play this year, don't you think he would have played. You need every guy on scholarship now on the OL to come back, just to have the numbers you need.
I don't understand how people fail to see this. You should sign 4 OL every year, so over a 5 year period, if you loose 1 of them, you are still at 15 which is the minimum a P5 team like LSU should have. I think 16 is actually optimal but I can live with 15. LSU has 13 now. Hypothetically, if Liam, Deculus, Ingram and Dare all do not come back and Kardell goes to the portal, that means 8 returning Scholarship lineman from the 2020 team. LSU has 1 OL committed, that gets you to "Nine". Signing 3 only gets you to 12! Not anywhere what you need.

Jacoby is a senior and, yes I know this years doesn’t count towards eligibility, but there is no way he returns. And he shouldn’t.
He won’t improve his draft stock and he deserves to go get paid.

Kind of counterintuitive to bring back low-ceiling players that led you to a 4-6 record if you want to get back to being a title contender
Because it is just not possible for them to improve

Cox has already accepted a Sr bowl bid, as well as Racey McMath
I know neither is coming back, but does going to the senior bowl automatically prevent them from returning of they decide to?
