Good! I don’t get all of the admiration for him. The little but I’ve seen of him has shown me nothing but child like behavior. He has no class and neither do his fans. He also hasn’t proved he can sustain a program and based on that alone, I’d pass.

That is EXACTLY why that comment was made. That was a brief way of saying. "Loyalty means something to me, Tennessee. I've got big options outside of you. So if you want me to stick around SHOW (don't tell) me just how loyal you are going to be to me."
The "t-shirt" statement was his way of saying "Tennessee, I showed you I want to be loyal to you. Now it's your turn to reciprocate."

In the Twitter interview TV spoke of loyalty, and immediately afterward said UT took a chance on him when his own alma mater didn't. Sounds to me like he is staying put.
