Italians are like Crossfit and Paleo diet people, they have to bring it up in nearly every conversation to let you know.

If he stays, and UT builds brand new facilities, they will be a power for years to come

Its not hard to launch a baseball program if you invest in it

The days of LSU being the only ones willing to spend money are long gone

Tennessee being added to the already massive list of those types of teams in the SEC isn't good for any of us.

Disagree

The more programs invested in CBB the better the sport will become.

Guess it's all in how someone thinks. LSU elevating it's game made others do the same.

But I get what you're saying. I equate it to UTe in football. They need to step up because them beating Bama occasionally helps the sport.

The idea Scott Woodward was even interested in Vitello is entirely a message board creation.

I'd be surprised if he ever was on the board. LSU's "interest" in this guy was created here and will likely die here. I'm sure some would like to have him, but I don't think he's the right fit for LSU. He's young and doesn't have several seasons' worth of experience.

Spending money isn't the only ticket to being a powerhouse. Just ask A&M.

He can be successful, but building a powerhouse is really difficult. We've seen a lot of programs flash dominance over short periods, only to wither away back toward the middle of the pack. LSU baseball is a brand, and that makes selling your program really easy.

An elite coach here would make LSU the program of college baseball again, in my opinion.

Tenn: “raise to $1.5MM?”

LSU: “$2.0MM and all the crawfish pasta you can eat”

TV at intro presser with hats on a table: “I hereby commit my loyalty to the University of LSU...”

You're telling me that an elite coach would make any "high-major" team THE program?

How many "THE" programs can there be at one time? Come on, dude. Don't pretend there isn't a major difference at a place like LSU.

I am probably one of the few but I honestly do not want him here.... I love fire and compassion but to me he and his team were cocky and annoying.
