It’s not terrible for a late night game, but absolutely brutal for early season day games.

Too hot.
Too sunny.

I sit on the west side and just watching the east bathed in sun for the entire duration of some of these games just appears brutal. I couldn't do it.

Probably after that hot AF Auburn game or Georgia around 2018 or so

That was the Auburn game. The UGA game that year was beautiful. But that Auburn game was next level of hell hot.

If you are unprepared it would suck. Just wear sunglasses and a proper hat - problem solved.

No way you were there for the UCLA game. A hat and glasses do nothing for 95 degrees and 50% humidity.

Been on Lower East Sideline for 5 years- Despite the heat, any day game will leave you with a crazy sunburn for a minute. It is not for the weak, West Side people will never understand the struggle.

Been in the Tiger Terrace Section 538 for 20 years and the seats are great. Yeah 11 and 2:30 games get hot but I got a great sun hat and a helluva tan

Absolutely useless for multiple games a year. I’d never ever get locked in to those.

LSU mostly plays late games. You're going to spend some of the games in the early season trying to block the sun while it sets so you can see the action.

It'll be worse for afternoon starts as you'll have the sun shining directly at you for the entire game.

Try for the West side is my advice.

You couldn't pay me to sit there in the heat and sun.

The east side is great except for the sun. There is no shade until the sun dips below the west side of the stadium and that makes it brutally hot in September and early October.

I had season tickets in the east upper….because that is the only place I could get them. The view of Tiger Stadium and the river is breathtaking. The sun is brutal for early season games, but it is nice for the November games. They also put visitors in high in the east upper, so they are a bit of a pain to deal with.

Bottom line is, it will get you in the Stadium allowing upgrade in future years. If you are buying on the secondary market, I would certainly want another part of the stadium.

I've done it a handful of times but one of the most brutal weather wise was that afternoon game against Georgia in 2018.

Great at night or late afternoon. 11 and 2:30 kickoffs can be brutal in September but not so bad after the heat breaks in September

If THAT was one of your "most brutal" afternoons, then you have not spent much time on the east side. That game was in mid-October. The high was 84 with relatively moderate humidity (for South Louisiana). It was hot, but by no means close to the most brutal weather.

September day games on the East sideline are awful. So much so, I won't even attend them anymore. The temp for the UCLA game in 2024 was 95 with the usual south LA humidity.
