I've only ever sat in the endzones. Just looking for feedback on yalls experiences with sitting on the east side. Is the extra time in the sun and glare a deal breaker?

For season tickets there are a few options. Most available are on the east side with some lower bowl, some in the bowl but under the overhang (not sure how much shade that provides) and of course the upper levels.

Just curious whats yall experiences.

Hell yes it is, especially for an afternoon game before mid-October

That UCLA game in 2024 was a miserable as I’ve been in my life.

We've had season tickets in section 302 since the 1960s. Amenities (concessions, restrooms) haven't been upgraded at all in over 60 years.

My season tickets are on east side along with a few friends. The sun is only an issue for 30 minutes or so. UCLA won’t happen again since they passed the law for no day games in September. Fans have been sitting there since TS was built. I think the restrooms and concessions are the same throughout the entire stadium.

A no go in September, don’t hate it besides that.

Because of new rule on no day games in September, there is only one chance for an 11am or 2:30pm kickoff in October, and that's against Mississippi State on 10/17.

It's likely that the two remaining home games in November will be at night vs Bama and Texas.

This is the season to do the east side line without fear of day games in the extreme heat.

The east side of any open stadium, especially in The South, is a miserable place to be for anything other than a night game. Sun and heat are brutal - perfect for visiting fans!

We have bought single-game tickets in the east lower bowl under the overhang for an afternoon game before we had season tickets; that was pretty good. The overhang was not an issue at all.

We had season tickets in the east uppers for a year; they are bad for early night starts until the sun dips below the west uppers, brutal for afternoon games.

Got lower east tickets for a few games before we had season tickets. If you are not under the overhang, for an afternoon game, it is also brutal. The sun gets below the west side quicker in the lowers so the early starts for night games aren't as bad.

Currently, our season tickets are in the west upper chairbacks. We like them.

ETA: we moved our tickets after year 1. So if you don't like your tickets, just sign up to move them next year. I sign up almost every year just to see what options I have. Tiger Terrace are nice if you want to spend the money and they are available. The price is closer to the lower bowl than the upper bowl, but the view of the field may be the best in the stadium.

This. However, without CBS in the picture, that's not going to be too often anymore. Most early season non-conference games are at night. Unless it's a crap SEC team coming into the stadium and ESPN forces us to play at 11am, most of our home games are going to be at night.

I forgot they got the state involved with that. Probably after that hot AF Auburn game or Georgia around 2018 or so. I think the first responders had to deal with too many heat injuries from the fans and the concessions were running out of water.

In my opinion...
West Side > East > South endzone > North endzone

The west is better b/c of the shade. The portals are tiny and everything feels cramped, but you aren't facing the sun. And it somehow feels better when sitting behind your team.

The east is in the sun for a day game, but it is helpful for colder games when you need the sun to warm you up a little. It is also great for night games.

The south endzone has the most loyal fans. Look around in the 4th quarter of any game, and the South is filled more than any other place. It also has more concession options than others.

The north is deafening. At least you are near the band, but the speakers in that scoreboard are too much for me to sit anywhere near it.

I sit there a lot. On a day game it is in the sun for most of it. Can be pretty hot.

I dont believe there is an overhang on the east side and even if there is it is of no use for sun or rain.

I like the east side lower but if you get too low you lose depth perception of the field.

East Upper, top half of it is for Visitor seating if they buy that many tickets.

Been on the 45 yard line east for over 30 years and wouldn’t trade. It does get sunny and hot but I have spent more than 4 hours in the sun fishing, playing golf, etc. it is what it is.

We sat in the east upper for years. Day games are brutal. You sit there all day watching that shadow cross the field knowing it'll never reach you. We were so high up we could actually hear the sun.

Not recommended for daytime games in August, September or October. The heat can be unbearable for those 2:30 pm starts

The lower bowl seats are excellent seats unless you are getting baked by the sun in day games.
