Compliments of Nick Saban. Next thing you'll tell us is Miles could have taken a 3-8 team and turn them into National Champions in 3 years. Keep dreaming - but first take the blinders off.

Then Orgeron won compliments of Miles by your logic, so it's a wash.

I'll admit that I only go to about a dozen games a year, & I never played the game at any level, so I am not an expert by any means.....and although it is hard to say that this has to be a make or break CWS year with this group, Paul has had teams recently that should have not only made the CWS but won the damn thing. I think he has put himself into a hole of his own making & that this is indeed a CWS or retirement year for him. He has taken the best program in the country & made it into the fourth or fifth best program in the SEC. I think O & Wade has proved the point that it doesn't have to be that way & that "just OK" is not acceptable. Although I think he throws his kids under the bus to save himself too much, I hope for the sake of the program that he makes it.

I agree it's Omaha or bust this year. Just getting there will mean a lot. A SR loss would not be good esp at home.

Its World Series or bust for Paul this year. No excuses

We only went to the CWS three times last decade that just isn't good enough

Paul is just two years removed from losing Two top pitchers in the CWS. Probably would have won it all that year if not for those injuries

Nobody remembers losing the finals of the CWS to Florida in 3 games because our injured pitching staff didn't have enough juice for the literal last game played in that season.

FIRE PAUL MAINIERI RIGHT NOW... also Javi.

ETA: I'm drunk. It was a sweep. The point still stands. Fire coach now.

I hope Mainieri does well this year.

If not, it’s time to make a change.

Please don’t throw out the “injuries” excuse, every team has them.

We’ve already had the “well how come Tim Corbin can do it” argument

It’s going to be a long season

Letting Miles stay way to long was a mistake. It’s time f0r Paul to go. Inherited the best program in college baseball. One championship a long dam time ago. He’s got to go.

Woodard met with him and said he had this season to prove himself. We shall see if he does or he's going.

And these threads and opinions regarding PM are entirely justified.

Paul took his team to the finals two years ago in Omaha. Last year his dad and mentor died in February and he spent the year without the fire you guys are talking about. He also lost 3 quarters of his starting rotation to injury for the majority of the year. I think you guys are stupid.
