the guy that hired him - skip - is still around & goes to the games!skip fired the guy that replaced himself. i know that skip is not in charge now - but if there was a problem - he would speak up & those in charge would listen to him.

let's drop this bull & be grateful & support the team!

It has been a decade since Paul won. He blew some good chances with his pitching calls

Yeahhhh not buying this. CPM has lost any fire he use to have and seems fine with mediocrity. With this pitching staff and young talent, we better be dominant this year.

I've defended Paul on here for quite a while. He needs to make to Omaha at the very least with this group. If he can't, it's probably time for a new voice in the locker room.

said it before, mainieri has become les 2.0. his inability to develop the talent that is given to him is unreal, only still around for a natty won 10 years ago. at minimum we need an omaha appearance this yr

Let's just say for a moment that what you're saying is true. The problem is that if LSU fires him, Paul is going to be rejuvenated and then probably kick arse at his next job and be a threat to LSU winning the title with our next coach.

Hey skip, we have a problem. It’s put up or shut up time for PM. We win championships. Bring in Cannizzaro and see what he can do.

Haven't seen a single poster stating they don't support the team, that's a poor assumption. Maybe Paul needs to help Paul. Skip has already spoken multiple times regarding how much more competitive baseball is around the country compared to when he was the man, doesn't mean he thinks Paul can't perform better.

Cannizzaro is repentant and healed: Why NOT?

As a former player, I have the utmost respect for Skip as head baseball coach.

That being said, Skip hired Miles. I've heard the story he tells in Baton Rouge interviews, but Skip understands the value of having a system (e.g. The Gold Book), the psychology of success, etc. and certainly recognizes those skills in others. Why he dropped all the standards he held for his players and staff when hiring the football coach, I'll never understand.

And I don't want to hear about 2007... Skip understands process and those who know Skip, Saban and Miles, know one of those guys isn't like the others, and it's obvious out of the gate. But don't take my word for it, just ask Alleva.

This would be a good example of being content and sometimes change is good

I don't disagree which is why my previous post says that he needs to get to Omaha. Just pointing out that Paul will get a job in a week if he wants to. He will be in high demand.

Les won 25% of the national championships in LSU history, you dipshit.

He should be evaluated as to his recent accomplishments based on historical and current expectations. He has fallen short and being a bit of a dick while doing so.
