I find it comical that people jump on certain players and label as the problem.
Bordelon seems to be the whipping boy this week.
I saw no negative reviews on him last week.
There’s a group of posters here that assume bc a guy isnt a 4 ora 5 star he’s the weak link.
This guy is a 5th year player and the thought process for many tards here is that he’s in the game bc of sort of seniority … as if he’s not best for the job or actually earned his spot in camp. Who’d thought that?????
Who knew we had so many fans that watch Oline exclusively ((((esp after two games))))) to point fingers.

I agree that the OL is the weakest part of the team but I disagree that red zone play calling is not an issue also. On two possessions where LSU had to settle for chip shot FGs, the plays were basically the same. I believe in the last failure, it was 2 runs behind LG and then Leavitt rolling out to the right and getting sacked. The previous failure was similar and also on 3rd down Leavitt rolled to the right and got sacked. I was wanting them to try pitches or runs around the end more (jet sweeps included) because Tech was basically selling out in the middle of the line. Also, a misdirection play should have been tried. I don't remember one single draw play or one single screen pass.

Unfortunately this is true again at least right now. Hope they can get coached up and play better, but we will need better O Line play going forward

Get butthurt all you want. If we cant grind a yd out against inferior opponents, then there is blame to be placed.
Linemen, coaches, qb, rb....fricking someone is weak, period.
We will need 3rd or 4th and 1s, against top SEC talent and national top teams. We cant run sprint draws 4 yds deep and succeed. And they now have weeks of film of sams running preferences. Theyll make him rely on accuracy and decision-making, if needed. And hes been spotty.
OL has to be avle to be trusted to get a push, period

Our biggest area of concern right now is interior OL. If that gets fixed, everything else falls into place.

When you’re right you are right but when you’re wrong you are consistent LE we all know.
Yes it’s the OL no doubt, Weston Davis was, well horrible. Bai was surprisingly bad and Borderline(though great story) ain’t getting it done.
Now I know it’s one game and a Non exciting opponent (gimmicky defense) and we won’t see it again but Ole Miss & Trinidad ain’t no joke. We will hopefully play better on OL but at least Charlie Jr knows what’s coming.
Nobody can imagine the emotions and intensity but the way we play if good will determine our season.

Red zone issues are usually caused by bad OL play which we have seen both games so far. Hope they continue to improve and come together or it’s not going to end well. They are the issue that that makes other offensive weakness worse.

La Tech DC Olson had his team ready.
They played their butts off. I think that had a lot to do with it. Second game against that will only help LSU get better. Just like Lane said. They have work to do.
