Good grief the Cheerios have come out of hiding since the sissy blues wrecked us.

I think you meant that this team is a decent o line away from a bowl game.

This team is a decent O Line away from contending for the SEC, maybe. A bit further away from a Natty than that I’m afraid. The Joe’s of 2019 made their O-Line look much better than they actually were. And 2019 OL still a far better unit that 2020 + 2021

We have a lot of posters on this board who are a fan of Coach Orgeron and not LSU

I don’t know what they find so fascinating about him

LINK . You'll see that the anemic pass + explosive rush has basically been flipped. Overall the offense is 12th in success rate on standard downs. They were 13th in 2014 and 3rd in 2015. Teams that are well coached have high success rates.

(success rate and some of these other advanced stats are mostly behind paywalls so the chart is the only thing I could find)

If this years team had even a decent o line, I fully believe we would be the team to beat in the SEC

A good oline and QB would put us in the running for one, but not the favorite.

Pump the brake baw. Last I checked we dont have a LB on the team and have not played anyone that can run the ball or could even try in a month.

Easy big fella. The O line is not the ONLY thing keeping this team from a Natty. The O line is keeping this team from having a respectable season. This was such a bad take. James Cregg is that you?

I’d say a decent o line away from a 9-10 win season.

This is a more realistic POV.

I think the O line will coalesce over the season, and we're going to be more competitive than people thought after week 1. This is definitely a year we should have stuck to just cupcakes early, and let the team develop.

I don't think we have a chance to beat either Alabama or Georgia.

I saw someone post that last night too, and I just don't understand it.
If you're good enough to challenge for the SEC, by default you're good enough to challenge for the national title. The top program is Alabama.

Elite QBs win nattys unless you have Bama's Oline so no we are not just a decent OL away from winning a championship

Maybe I'm a sunshine pumper but I kind of feel the same. We'd be able to score with just about anyone in the country and while our defense isn't shut down I feel like they'd make enough big plays.
