Sankey works at the behest of the presidents. He’s not setting up these meetings or filing these lawsuits without their approval.

These are sophisticated people being guided by top tier attorneys. They didn’t just forget about ABC/ESPN deals. They are accounting for all contingencies.

Not saying it will happen, but be prepared to be removed from the conference this week.

I’m presuming that LSU leadership is preparing for this event and I’d bet conversations are already taking place with the Big10 and ACC.

Wonder how fast it happens if so and what we are entitled to per contract

Hope you are correct.

What do you base this confidence on?

If they take the vote, is LSU obligated to play out the season?

I can only hope, then LSU can sue the SEC and every school in it for collusion and brand defamation. Sue them for a billion dollars

I’d bet there are termination for cause and/or convenience clauses in the contracts we have with SEC and ABC/ESPN.

Specifically I believe this is the Pres. of Tenn.

OM, Tenn, Bama all have issues with the same thing. Coach LK.

They all also know what could happen if he's finding his stride at LSU...they scared about the SEC power structure and LSU owning it.

The counter lawsuits could set LSU for years to come. They might get LSU out - maybe - but they'll be butt hurt when it's all said and done. LSU didn't do anything but show them their ignorance and sorry leadership by not having all of their ducks in a row with the proper guidelines and rules in place. Eggs on the SEC's face and some are getting away with what we're accused of.

Still think it’s a game of chicken for the most part.

LSU will have claims for pretty hefty damages it can pursue for breach of contract and detrimental reliance if we are kicked out and no longer have access to the tv contract that was negotiated on our behalf using our media rights.

I have a hard time believe all 15 SEC schools have gotten comfortable and run down those ramifications in two weeks. But maybe they have and maybe they are that pissed off.

Sometimes in a game of chicken neither side backs down.

Nothing concrete…but just reading the tea leaves. (Note, I was wrong as hell about Kiffin to LSU though with actual connections on both sides of the deal).

What is LSU supposed to do, if hypothetically, they lose this game?

Delete open roster spots? We haven't broken any rules. We haven't sued anyone.
