Well, we need the money - at least until we bankrupt the SEC and other member schools with lawsuits - AND, the players will want to play. Do you think they will just sit out this season?

You are not very politicly savvy if you don’t think Sankey is the driving force behind the scenes on this. The man hates LSU and Kiffen since we got rid of his lap dogs Woodward and Tate liberal POSs.

dude, give it a rest. You are wrong about everything. Are you a glass doctor? You sure as hell aren't an MD.

The SEC would not exist soon, if that happens. Nothing is going to happen. That POS SAnkey is going down within a year. LSU will play the rest of this season with swagger of old days Miami. I think Kiffin is the perfect coach to lead us in this environment. These players will be focused and out for blood. We are going to beat the hell out of OM in 11 days, watch. I don't usually make those bold predicitions, I'm not as smart as Delta Doc....but watch.

And where were these “sophisticated people” when Bama played a G-League player last season? He actually played in games.

Done. Now what?

That may be how things work in Sharkey County, MS but not in Birmingham

A bunch of academics that are offended by Lane, lol

Wonder how fast it happens if so and what we are entitled to per contract
What we're entitled to per the contract won't matter because it'll be scraps compared to the damages LSU will win in a lawsuit against the SEC. All LSU has to do is claim selective enforcement of the bylaws and then point to the Charles Bediako situation where the rules that made him ineligible were far more cut and dry and yet Bama still faced no penalties or threats of expulsion from the SEC for actually playing a former NBA player in a few games.

You are thinking reasonably. The Presidents WILL vote LSU out on Thursday if that is the vote.
Maybe, the vote will be IF they have the authority to kick LSU out.
That is the real question. What exactly is the vote on Thursday going to be.

quote:LSU doesn't have a contract with the SEC, they have bylaws they adhere to. The SEC has a contract with Disney/ESPN and LSU is named in that contract.
I’d bet there are termination for cause and/or convenience clauses in the contracts we have with SEC and ABC/ESPN.
Right now LSU hasn’t broke any bylaws of the SEC or NCAA, so the SEC has amended the Fed lawsuit claiming LSU has failed to maintain institutional control, which is a mechanism to expel a member. Their claim is based on the comment made by Lane at halftime of Clemson game, “Imagine if we had pro players.” They are saying this shows LSU has lost control of the program.
The absurdity of this claim is very obvious, especially considering Ole Miss challenged Chambliss’ ruling and the SEC did nothing.
