. But when you’re a program like LSU

A program that is depending on a bad recruiting class for starters and has very little junior or senior leadership?

Moo State.
Mizzou.

Ok losing to Bama Florida Auburn even A & M.

But there is no excuse ever to lose to Moo State and Mizzou.

And ya know what? You do you brother. None of us need you or anyone lecturing anyone on how they should think.

The team lost an historic number of people last year that played key roles to our success (players and coaches).

This doesn't change the magnitude of the talent differential between LSU and the teams we lost to. Nearly every starter on offense and defense has been in the program for at least one year. We have one true freshman starter in Gilbert, and he's actually playing better than anyone else on the team after 3 games.

Missouri was also down 6 starters.

New D-Coordinator that brought new schemes enters.

Mississippi State had an entirely new coaching staff with a transfer QB. Missouri had an entirely new coaching with a redshirt freshman QB.

Enter a global pandemic that limited the amount of practice time the team had to prepare.

Everyone is affected by this. Everyone. If LSU is handling it significantly worse than every other team, then that's a problem.

Then enter a moved game due to a hurricane.

If you think the performance we saw yesterday was due to the fact that we were forced to play on the road in front of an empty stadium, then I really don't know what to tell you.

I'd rather a bunch of experienced three star seniors and juniors over a bunch of inexperienced four star freshmen and sophomores

I wasn’t aware that LSU was the only program dealing with these things.

So many cherry pickers in here.

Of course every other team had to deal with the pandemic, and I'm sure quite a few teams had coaching changes.

But, how many had to replace the amount of talent we lost last year?

Do you not think that's a big deal?

Not just a loss

It was a loss when you were PLUS 5 in TO margin. LOL

On the heels of losing to an SEC record passing game from a QB who was subsequently benched in losses to AR (who was on a 20 game SEC losing streak), and KY

And they don’t have a draftable WR and turned the ball over 4 times. LOL

Im not saying the sky is falling. I’m just letting you know you’re standing on it. LMAO

You meant be really critical of obvious systemic problems, right? I mean, surely you can’t...

Wait, this was joke thread. Good one!

Elite programs don’t look the way LSU does right now. It’s unfortunate that all of those things happened, but several other programs experienced the same problems and don’t look like shite. Alabama loses talent every year and they don’t look like shite. Our football team is pathetic and it’s downright embarrassing, and O looks like he doesn’t really care to fix it.

But, if you have somewhat of a brain, can think critically and objectively, then you have to understand all of the factors that have gone into this less than positive start of the season for every team in the country and realize that those factors are invalid excuses for O’s arrogant, terrible coaching decisions and lack of fire

FIFY. Your post sounds just like the defense of Les Miles in 2014. It points out “big picture excuses” while ignoring the actual big picture.

Yea, when they play Alabama & Florida

The coaches pushed the wrong buttons. This didn’t have much to do with talent. Especially watching what Miss St has become.

Good thing Mississippi state and Missouri didn’t have to install all new stuff in this pandemic year....???????

And with "less talent" than we have.

Effort and on-field leadership is lacking, that is a problem and it starts with the top 3 coaches.

...and I said multiple times that we're not a particularly good team and have a whole lot of room to improve.

But, sure...I will continue to be hopeful that the coaching staff can get this turned around and be on a positive trajectory going into next season.

$2million per year you had better be able to at least install base defenses, which we have not done

What he means is, he does not think the team is good and we should all just accept it and expect or desire them to get any better.
