Excuses are like assholes, everyone has one and they generally stink.

LSU was the only team that had limited time to prepare due to Covid?

Are we a very good team? No, not particularly.

But, good Lord...how can some of you not see the entirety of the situation here?

The team lost an historic number of people last year that played key roles to our success (players and coaches).

New D-Coordinator that brought new schemes enters.

Enter a global pandemic that limited the amount of practice time the team had to prepare.

Then enter a moved game due to a hurricane.
All true.

Do we have some things to figure out...you bet!
this is my expectation to "figure it out".

Offense is getting better every week.

Defense is getting worse. That was very much like the MSST game, but without getting pressure on the QB and Stingley on the field (hobbled for a half).

But we had more talent on the field for more minutes against an offense that was focused on the run and a less experienced HC and did worse.

If they were getting better, even if too slow it would be one thing. They are not.

I know they were missing multiple D line starters and their top 2 WRs. We made Missouri's backup WRs look like studs.

less than positive start of the season.

That's like calling a decapitation a minor flesh wound.

Everyone understands what we lost through the draft, attrition etc.
Everyone understands the limited practice time.
Everyone knew there would be bumps in the road.

How did Arkansas's new DC fare against Moo U?
The kind of performance we've seen from the defense is inexcusable.

I thought this would be a 6-4 or 7-3 type season. We're staring at perhaps 5 more losses.

Mizzu was missing several starters due to covid against LSU and still boat raced the D. We are talking about fricking Missouri out coaching and out playing a football factory like LSU.

The 2018 class (which we are depending heavily on) was not that great.

Closer to Mississippi State than Clemson

A program that is depending on a bad recruiting class for starters and has very little junior or senior leadership?

Should still finish with no less than 8 wins in a normal year, 6 this year. Les had a bad recruiting class (2012 I think, could be wrong—they finished 14th or 15th in recruiting) and he never finished with less than 8 wins.

It’s not just the loss. It’s the way they lost... it’s the confusion on defense.. the lack of hustle... the lack of pride... the lack of character... it’s hard to understand

Did he lose 30 players and then have to depend heavily on that bad class and transfers for starters?

Just looked. Two years after that class, LSU went 8-5 with a couple of losses to unranked teams.
