There is nothing in the Xs and Os that suggests this will be anything other than

A beat down by LSU like we were used to seeing pre-Lane in Oxford. Take the drama out and whining by the University of Mississippi, and this game just doesn’t seem close from a personnel perspective. What am I missing?

It's strictly emotions for them. They are/will be back to dog shite now that Lane moved up

1. They have a battle tested QB that beat us last year.
2. Playing at home gives average players a boost (see Bama v. LSU 2008)
3. Although the stats look great, the eyes show this LSU team has some holes (passing game, turnovers)
4. We were #4 last year when we lost there

Chambliss and Lacy are gamechanging offensive players. Arguably 2 of the Top 5 offensive players in CFB this year.
So, I think you're missing at least that.
On the other hand, LSU's defense has been impressive enough and the offensive been productive enough to consider this a relative mismatch. I will not be surprised if LSU blows Ole Miss out. I would, however, be surprised if Ole Miss blows LSU out.
So, I see it either a big win by LSU or a close win either way.

You're right on the account that the numbers don't show Ole Miss getting blown out by LSU but LSU's offensive line versus Ole misses defensive line is definitely not a concern at all for LSU

Ace you are delusional if you think Golding is anything but average.Nick doesn’t let any coach take a lesser job if he thinks he can do better.Bama fans were glad he left ,so was Nick.

If we are being honest, Chambliss is one of the best QB’s in college football. And he’s clutch.

Ole miss played on emotion and played above their level in the playoffs last year. Fans have had this game circled for a year so you know it will be a battle.

Chambliss going absolutely absurd is their shot. He’s a great player so he’s capable but our roster is better and the coaching mismatches on both sides of the ball will be the biggest difference maker in our favor.

I said "Good". I just said bordering on Great. That's why I didn't say he was a great coach.
He was at Alabama, behind Saban for 5 full seasons and that involved him getting promoted to DC. Does that alone or the 2020 National Championship defense alone make him great? No. But, to dismiss his abilities, experience and performance would be a mistake.

Can you point out to me exactly what makes Golding a great DC or why you think that way? Because he's been in the SEC as a DC since 2018 at Bama. Under his watch the Bama defense got worse and worse and worse until Lane "hired him away" in 2023, really that was just to spare him from being fired which every Bama fan wanted to happen. Go ask Bama fans how good they think Golding is and you know they're not ones to easily tell LSU fans what they want to hear.
At Ole Miss they were really good in 2024 with a great roster, that's really his crowning achievement of his career, but the other 2 years they were really nothing special bordering on bad. And after Louisville this year they look nothing special this year either. I just don't understand how anyone can have watched this guy work for nearly a decade in the SEC and claim he's a great defensive mind. His body of work tells a different story.
