Yes boutte had some bad drops this year. But if u look at the film he is an elite route runner and was missed by jd on countless plays. So u could pretty much say JD tanked his draft stock. Him coming back would hurt him more than help him

The Boutte hate is a deflection tactic

Boutte is so overrated it's crazy, people try to put him in the class of OBJ,Jarvis,Justin Jefferson, and Chase but he really is DJ Chark a good player but not elite as those receivers. Dude had that huge game against a horrible Ole Miss defense running the same route and people always talk about him leading the nation in TD catches before getting hurt but truthfully I remember like 2 the first touchdown against UCLA and the one against Miss St, truth be told Jenkins has had a lot more important touchdowns in his LSU career. Boutte is easily replaceable unlike the true elite receivers we have had here.

There is no need to say anything negative about Boutte. He had a disappointing season and most of it was probably on him, be it drops, attitude and/or lingering injury issues. At this point, it doesn't matter. Wish him well and move on. There is nothing to be gained trashing him.

When has Ole Miss had a solid defense?
Didn't Boutte have a solid game vs Alabama, prior to his injury?

I wish Boutte the best of luck in the NFL and hope he lights it up… I am tired of his act at LSU. Geaux Tigers

Yep. It's like comparing Alley Broussard to players like Fournette, Guice (pre-injuries), Hill, CEH.

Or maybe I'm wrong about that and Boutte is better compared to Stingley.

Isn’t it because he violated team rules? That’s the reason he’s leaving?

What? He loafed all season and dropped numerous catchable balls, his heart wasnt in it AT ALL this season.

"It looked to me like he was still recovering for most of the season. My guess is that 95% of his frustrations were with his own body not doing what he was used to it doing."

Yep. And you're seeing Adam Miller go through the same thing. I don't dislike Boutte for going pro I just wish he would have done it right at the end of the season. Might have gotten a couple of extra recruits or maybe Bech stays. But the idiots saying it's because JD is staying don't have a clue.

Jd tanked Boutte draft stock more than enough this season. He had 1 receiving TD last year.

Well, Boutte could have had at least 2 more TDs in the Fla st game alone....but he dropped them.

Boutte hurt his own draft stock more than anybody.

Boutte couldn't hold JJ or Chase's jock!....bottom line Boutte quit on his team, coaches, and fan base...all so he can get ready for the NFL combine which doesn't mean anything! you gain value by playing football and by having character, and being a great example for the ones behind you. BJ and Gaye quit too....you don't have to like it, but it's the truth

Could the reason be because jd’s coming back?

Ban please. They've known for more than a week. LSU announced that KB wasn't playing in the bowl but enrolled. Why would they do that if he was leaving or thinking of leaving? He was facing punishment and decided to take his chances in the draft.

Yall are more dramatic than an reality show cast. get a freaking grip.
