Unless MVB is just God awful I can’t imagine many guys on the team are rooting for this offense to continue the same. You have it a shot but it’s been clear that this isn’t working. It sucks for him if true but you can’t let him hurt the team just because you feel bad for him.

I agree with you Bilj. It was a good effort but its time for someone to step in and give the rest of the team their best shot at success.

I believe he’s playing injured but have a hard time buying into it being a Grade III tear. He wouldn’t be playing if that were the case.

Probably a Grade II tear which is usually a month or so of rest and rehab to fully heal.

Why would Brian Kelly sit there and straight up lie to our face about our QB's injury situation.

Wait, i know, cause he's always been a fricking used car salesman liar. Its just another day for him.

This wasnt just Kelly's decision

It’s a tough decision no doubt but leaders have to block out the noise and ensure they are making decisions that benefit the overall objectives of the team. Why is BK getting paid 10 mil a yr to essentially gamble on every major decision?

If he is hurt, he is definitely on Loomis' radar.

Let’s be honest here.
You have no idea what would have happened if MVB started vs Ole Miss.
We might’ve lost 24-0.

In reality, with an injured Nuss we still had a chance to come back & win the game if our defense could have gotten a stop with 5 mins to go.

Supposedly MVB had an arm/hand injury in fall camp and might have been the reason he didn't look good but he showed a grasp of the offense in the SE game and should have gotten a couple of series in the OM game just to see how he would perform. That game was never out of reach.

Well no wonder we can't run the ball.

If true, he doesn’t belong on the field. He is an anchor around the team’s neck. Continuing to play him should be a firing offense for BK.

If true, ironically, the same injury that ended Walker Howard’s ULL season.

What about being too scared to run a QB sneak?

makes sense

Explains why his arm strength is gone

Explains why they don't think rest will help

If this is true, why would you not rest him for LA Tech and SELU? If they felt rest would help, there’s the opportunity to reduce his load, then get two more weeks during the bye. Again— IF true, the management of this is almost an unexplainable strategy by this staff.

Motherfricking this. There was zero, and I mean zero, reason to Nuss to play a snap in the SLU game if he is in fact hurt. SLU had 30yds in the first half. The rest was worth more than the reps, especially looking back now.

I just feel like we’re being lied to.

Don’t give a rats butt about his draft stock.

This is what I don't understand. An injury that can be fixed and doesn't demonstrate a chronic condition would have had little effect on his draft stock. His on-the-field performance has KILLED his draft stock and Heisman chances.

With this defense, I genuinely think MVB taking all of the QB1 snaps in practice would have gotten us to 5-0 going into the bye. If a fully healthy Nuss then took the reins and led us to deep into the playoffs he might have even has a shot at the Heisman. Doubtful of course, but playing him hasn't helped the team or Nuss.

MVB shoulda played the last 2 games while nuss rested.

woulda had 4 weeks of rest instead of 2 while compromising the season.

he rolled the dice and lost. MVB woulda given us a better shot at beating OM.

disastrous management by CBK.

Dude was always going pro after this season regardless of what happened. BK sold him on making a championship run this season. That's why he is trying to play through the injury.

Then BK should be fired for leaving us with a roster where a crippled, non-serviceable QB is “the best we’ve got.”

Have the surgery then

I doubt he needs surgery.

That's the part I don't believe. I think this is likely just an injury that won't improve without significant rest (majority of season).

MVB may not be great but at minimum he’s got to be capable of completing dink and dunk passes and handing the ball off.

We are probably choosing between two bad solutions. Keeping Nuss in as long as you've got playoff hopes might be the best option we have.
