I watched two good teams play last night. Bama and A&M.
Both teams are way better than we are. I believe our QB right now is better than those two QBs yet people keep going on and on as if our QB is holding us back from bring a good team.

While our QB is flawed, he certainly isn’t the reason we don’t have a good team. Focusing on one guy is simplistic and proves you to be a simpleton and not a student of the game.

Brennan wasn’t the same after the injuries. Unfortunately, it was a career ender for him.

He will and it won’t be a close competition. He is already on another level mentally, and has the best arm in the QB room (according to coaches). He is also very smart to redshirt and learn this year.

I do think Daniels has insane potential if he keeps improving.

Keeps improving. He is in his fourth year as a starter. He doesn't get it. How much time need he to develop as a passer? His football IQ is way low. CAnnot recognize a blitz, and cannot see the field. Yes, the receivers have been less than wonderful, but this man cannot run the offense.

Fine , but why not give Nuss a chance ? Is there some bad chemistry between him and Kelley ? Nuss sets up fast , quick release . Y’all may hate Saban , but he is willing to change if something isn’t working . Remember Tua coming in against Georgia in the natty game ?

Or maybe he quit when he was told there was no chance he would start over a guy that he was better than.

I appreciate him being such a LSU lifer that he’d basically quit the sport since he wasn’t named the starter at LSU. If Brennan was that great, he would’ve transferred, not quit playing football altogether.

It won’t matter. Daniels will have to transfer because Howard is starting next year. He’s been raves about in practice about his poise and mechanics and is said to have one of the fastest releases they have ever seen. This means quick decision making and getting the ball out quickly to your receivers and let them make plays with their feet. He can also run when he needs to even though he’s nowhere in Daniels’ league in that area. I expect us to get another QB in this class and Daniels plus Nuss transfer making our backups to Howard the Collins kid and another true freshman. Hopefully we can get one of Daniels or Nuss to stay though to be the #2 QB.

You are right about Daniels. By MB is a statue that this young OL would have gotten re-injured. Plus I don’t think he put in the work this past offseason.

I think we need to roll with Nuss to get him more game experience this year. But BK is trying to win as many games as possible this year and that is why he is going with Daniels. He is probably right about that assumption. It is his call as the coach but id probably lose a couple more and see who Nuss can be.

JD does not process fast enough to go through his progressions. Will never improve enough to make a significant difference in his play. MB was good at finding and getting ball to receivers. What did these coaches see leading up to season? What about next year? We need major help in a hurry.

There’s a lot of blame to go around for that loss yesterday. Funny how y’all keying in one person. . .

If he would throw the ball and move the chains then know one would be criticizing him even if we lose. You can have good QB play and still lose because of other factors around you, but if your not doing your part, then your going to be singled out as well.

This is why I’m in a little worried about CBK

He might be in over his head with talent we face

We need to keep an elite DC at al costs while the dinosaurs on offense figure out how to football

Well, he can be here, he just better not be the starter though.

They might have known that the o-line would struggle so they planned on having a qb that could run. Just an idea

Will not lose more because of Nuss, but could surprise someone if he gets hot.

If MB was garbage, what do you call Daniels?
First three games as a starter comparison?

It’s mind-boggling. BK has no ability to evaluate QB talent.

Maybe academics wasn't the reason he never won a championship at ND.

QB talent evaluation?

I agree : this is a rebuild year . We are thin at several positions , injured at others. I think that Nuss should be given a opportunity to play now. He learns to protect the ball or he transfers. JD was a stop gap like many of the portal transfers. O decimated this program in 2 years and we need to play the guys that have potential for the future.
We will have many ups and downs this year but BK needs to break some eggs if we are going to make omelets for the future.
