He's an assistant.. Analyst never see the players or go on the sidelines. They are assistants to people like faulk

Not sure what the NCAA’s definitions are, but this guy is a consultant for the head coach, not an analyst in the traditional sense of aiding with offense/defense or anything like that.

Because the other poster’s point was that he couldn’t talk to recruits because he wasn’t an on-field coach. I posted Faulk talked to recruits

To be fair, Lsu just started doing this in big numbers of analysts since o got here... Always thought him talking Joe into paying for a bunch of them like other schools were doing was an underrated move

On LSU’s campus they can.

This is the case with analysts. Would a “consultant” fall under those same rules?

Faulk is one of the 10 assistant coaches were allowed to have... 13 analysts are allowed, we had 10 last year.. They make 35 to 70 Gs a year . Like I said in other thread

You think this old man is going to help with recruiting?

I thought people were joking but they're actually serious. How could this guy possibly connect with 18-19 year old kids?

It's no wonder so many are befuddled as to why we lose recruits to Bama. You guys think an AARP member is just what we need.

Recruiting is about more than the kids. It’s about their parents, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, grandparents, etc. he would certainly be known to the older folks.

I don’t know for sure how the ncaa would label a head coach’s consultant, but I don’t see why they would be precluded from speaking to someone if they were on campus.

The recruits can meet anyone at the facility when they visit.

Analyst secretaries janitors etc...

They’re in the building analysts don’t have to shun them

That being said, I am 29 and no one my age knows who this dude is or would name him if you said “list some all time great coaches”

Impossible for you to know, and people in SoCal would know him. Which is where we are trying to get a pipeline to.

The guy won an NC 41 years ago.

These kids parents were barely learning multiplication during this guy’s hay day.
