I agree but I think most on here are looking too much at the surface of things here. CEO is recruiting against CNS and his favorite ploy is to show recruits and families all his rings and awards. CEO has none of that. He has a lot of moxie and energy but no stellar track record outside of LSU/USC/Miami stints.

Hiring John Robinson as a consultant helps him boost his credibility and competitiveness in the living rooms of kids/families and especially West Coast kids. The PAC12 is not competitive right now at all and it is fertile for poaching quality talent.
