Dude first off figure out not how to have a thousand typos. Second, you don’t bunt a runner to second you bunt them to third. Bunting to second is playing scared

Unless it's a ball, it's a line drive.

Pitchers love giving up that out to get a guy to second. Give me that a fly ball doesn’t hurt me. I’d much rather play for a hit and run

Ignoring that bunting is almost always a bad decision statistically, college baseball players are notoriously bad at bunting.

Why are we bunting back to the pitcher so he can start a double play?

The Rant is not a factor in any decision made by lsu. A lot of people on here think it is. The rant is just a group of fair weather fans who think they make a difference.

Every team I've watched in the playoffs has trouble bunting or doesn't do it at all. It's frustrating but by no means limited to LSU.

You realize bunting straight back to the pitcher is second in bad bunting only to popping it straight up? Proper bunting is a bunt laid down the lines too far out of the catchers zone for him to make a play. Bunting drills involve laying two bats down parallel pointing to each edge of the mound. If you lay one down between those bats or pop it up..you run.

Maybe with a guy on 2nd with no outs deep in a close game. Sacrificing your 2 hole hitter to move a runner to 2nd would probably cause a melt down on here lol....

Most LSU Baseball fans are not big on bunting.

As it should. Unless it's a no brainer situation giving up an out is dumb, especially with one of your best hitters.

I didn’t watch every game this year, but I didn’t see any of the teams we played against bunt in the first inning. Bunting in the first inning is usually stupid.

First inning, yes. But it’s got it’s place.

Baseball today seems to have no clue what it’s place is.

I’d be fine if there’s zero bunting in the first inning, ever.

It’s about manufacturing runs. Anyway you can do it, that’s what needs to be done. If I was the coach, base stealing, advancing on dirt ball reads and bunting is all a part of getting runners in scoring position. If you teach the kids to be aggressive, the hits will come.
