I did a quick glance at this guy's post history. Here's a gem that I found It Will Not Be Ensminger That's a fact. 100% not him. No matter what.

And Another It's Not Ensminger. Chill.

And his attempt at a back pedal that was still wrong

quote:
IF and by if I mean a small chance all are swing and misses they will promote Ensminger. I'm told do not be too upset at that because O plans on bringing in a QB coach/passing game coordination.

LINK

He's been wrong, so very wrong, on so many different levels.

wow. looks like OP has been destroyed. good work

He's been teaching high school kids. Take it for what it's worth. I guess that you'd rather the coaching staff do nothing and continue with the status quo. Why don't you just admit that there's nothing that this staff can do to make you happy. That way nobody will mistake you for an objective poster.

Is this the best you can do? Is this the best O can do? Is this the best this administration can do? Hire a 55 year old former QB turned private coach who has coached high school kids, that never did anything at the next level? Are you serious? It says he turned down a chance to coach QBs with the Cardinals back in 04 and has since went into broadcasting and coaching high school kids.

THATS THE STANDARD AT LSU??? My guy there are PROVEN (I'm beginning to act like Peej now ), offensive coordinators and coaches that run high powered offenses and send QBs to the NFL and heisman and POY lists that are making nowhere near 1 million. Guys that we can possibly get right now just buy doubling their pay and adding incentives.

I'll tell you right now if all we do is see Sullivan retire and Salisbury come in, Ed O signed his way out the door.

You better hope we beat UCF. Things could get real ugly for your boy.

I posted this a while back....you may be onto something:

--------------------------------------
FWIW My opinion has always been that SE was holding the place open for someone to come in in a year or two. No facts, but why would he take a full time position he has never wanted unless he knew it was not for the long term. I see SE still in a smaller role again....

with ABSOLUTELY no facts, I would not be surprised if Kiffin would be the one.

Is he still the OC? Then its obvious that wasnt the case. The good names that would change the direction of LSU are being swooped up quickly while farmer fran Coach O counts his money and laughs at Joe Alleva.

Yes it is. The best names will be gone by the time anything happens, if it happens.

Figured maybe it was time to drop my two cents in this thread...

Tennessee is courting Kendal Briles. And meanwhile, we (LSU) just paid our overhead to Les Miles off. And even without that being done, we had the funding to pay $2mm+/yr to a top flight OC. That would put an OC making more per year than any other OC, and more than most head coaches. And with all that said, we still scored zero points against Alabama for the second time in three years, after promoting a position coach already on staff who had zero OC experience in the last two decades.

We must accept the fact that our leadership has made the decision that mediocrity is acceptable for our modern program.

Just because you want they year to be over it does not make it so.
ANNOUNCEMENTS are seldom made before the Bowl Games if a coach is involved.

I also said a year or two...in the original post.
Next year would be 2.

A 2 year gig for an OC is not just a "holdover". Its not like all of the good OCs have been locked down. Briles has moved every year since he left Baylor.

Alleva is a doofus. We'll probably never have a full accounting of his mindset, but I'm sure the truth is mundane and frivolous.

He went from, "I am going to hire an offensive minded coach with a track record of success!" to, "Ed wants to be here...!"

So stupid. He thought Orgeron would win 9+ a year and keep the stadium full.

I think he's wrong. I think LSU fans want more than what they're getting, but I guess we'll see.
