Where is the idea coming from that Kiffin interfered with/overruled Baker's gameplan? Then, let Baker coach the 3rd quarter but then overruled him again on the 4th quarter drive?
Gameplan does not prevent Dottery from being largely invisible except when he got beat in coverage and then whiffed on the tackle. Failing to set the edge on the last TD. Offsides twice on the 2 point. That was a total failure all around, coaches and players. Baker was torched by 2 guys in their 3rd game at their respective positions

I agree, but also we should keep in mind that if we held Chambliss to one less touchdown (heck, one 4th down conversion) we almost certainly win the game.
The first half was a beat down but for most of the second half we were doing just fine against Chambliss. He'll get his but we were doing enough.

The defense that could stop him was the defense in the second half of the game that was without its starting nickel.
Played chickenshit defense to start the game and when LSU started trying to actually defend instead of simply contain, surprise surprise LSU whooped his arse.

We still might have gotten away with that first half soft coverage had we simply been forced to punt twice our of four possessions in the first half instead of 3 times, the missed pass to Wilson comes to mind

That was pretty bad. I think you bring 5 and play man and force the ball out faster or he has to scramble. He won't make it to the endzone if he runs.

His throws are only that accurate with zero pressure. Hindsight is 20/20 but I’m shocked that CLK didn’t tell Baker to disguise blitzes from the get go.

His press conference on Sunday he said they wanted to play it safe and limit the explosive plays and make the them have to drive the length of the field. He didn't specifically say he overrode Baker but he is the HC and Baker's boss and his comments made it sound like that was the strategy he wanted to use in the game and he approved of it before they even kicked off. I don't think Kiffin was on the sideline calling it play for play during the game, but Kiffin is definitely involved with prep in the week leading up to the game going over strategy. And given his familiarity with Chambliss I have almost no doubt that he was giving Baker instructions about what approach he thought was best.

No dc is going to play man or zone the entire game.
You have to mix it up.
Chambliss is really good unless you get pressure on him. That doesn't mean you can blitz him every down though, especially with players hurt.
