Grew up in New Orleans, didn't even know boiled peanuts were a thing until I moved to Dallas and saw them in a Quicktrip one day.

Just one of thousands of examples across all industries of the shitpile that is private equity taking over everything.
Menhaden vote tomorrow!
Posted by metryboy on 4/28/26 at 7:55 pm
Call your legislators tonight. Long cca email copied here:
CCA MEMBERS AND LOUISIANA ANGLERS — WE NEED YOU!?
?
TOMORROW (April 29, 2026), THREE (3) of our menhaden reform bills will be heard in the Senate Natural Resources Committee at 10 AM in Baton Rouge at the Louisiana State Senate (Committee Room A-B). These are the bills:?
?
HB 757 (Rep. Cox) — Civil penalties for buffer violations
HB 872 (Rep. Zeringue) — AIS for ALL menhaden boats
HB 886 (Rep. Orgeron) — Public harvest data transparency
These bills passed the Louisiana House with near-UNANIMOUS SUPPORT — and the menhaden industry itself supported (NOT opposed) these three measures.
This is common-sense oversight. Accountability. Transparency. And the industry agrees. But common-sense legislation still has to clear committee. That's where YOU come in.
TAKE ACTION NOW:?
?
CONTACT THE SENATE NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE MEMBERS — Tell them to vote YES on HB 757, HB 872, and HB 886. ?
??
?Please send a personal email to snatr@legis.la.gov ?
??
?and/or click HERE to send a guided VoterVoice email.?
?
CONTACT YOUR OWN STATE SENATOR — Tell them you want these bills passed.?
?
SHARE THIS MESSAGE — Every share gets us closer to the finish line.
This is how we protect Louisiana's fishery. This is how we hold a billion-dollar industry accountable. This is how we deliver wins for the Sportsman's Paradise.?
?
LOUISIANA ANGLERS — IT'S TIME TO MAKE NOISE.
CLICK HERE TO EMAIL YOUR SENATORS VIA VOTER VOICE
?
?One more step that takes 30 seconds:
A personal phone call carries more weight than any email.
?Legislative staff track every call for and against a bill.
When you call, use this script:?
?
"Hi, my name is [YOUR NAME] and I'm a constituent in [CITY]. I'm calling to ask Senator [SENATOR_LAST_NAME] to vote YES on HB 757, HB 872, and HB 886 — the menhaden reform bills that passed the House with near-unanimous votes. Please support these 3 bills. Thank you."?

Well he hasn’t worked out since then. Not even at his pro day. He has a private workout scheduled I think starting today so we’ll see I guess.

For what it's worth, I have several Bengal fan friends and they all think we overpaid for a mediocre TE that is often injured.
I mean, seriously, who downvotes this? It was nothing but wholesome goodness.

I think neither! We are set at RB we just need to fix the Oline.

re: To those of you freaking out over losing Frank Wilson
Posted by metryboy on 12/17/25 at 9:29 am to FireGoodell
I don't think anyone is worried about losing him as a coach, but if you aren't worried about losing him as a recruiter, then you are just putting the P&G colored glasses on.
Well is anyone going to tell us wtf he actually said for those of us without social media?
Except Ruiz!

$150? Out vet now charges $950!!!
May Lootie never die!
Better check for restrictions first. The neighborhood I own property in has restrictions for above water lights for this reason. Only underwater allowed.

What does the OB think of this used boat.
Posted by metryboy on 10/22/25 at 8:57 am
Live in Dallas now, and son wants to fish Lake Lewisville. This boat looks like a decent compromise between fishing setup and cruising around with the wife and dogs. Thoughts on the brand? The price? What to look out for?
The dealer does a full maintenance update upon purchase, a 6 month warranty, and they take you out for a test drive also.
Thanks in advance!
