One word: ALABAMA! We've played the Gumps 90 times.
All time series: 27-58-5 (32% win percentage)
ALA has won 3 straight
Last 17 matchups from 2010-2025: 4-13 (24% win percentage)
Last 8 matchup at home: 2-6 (25% win percentage) outscored: 229-116!
11/6/10 W 24-21 (H): STORMED THE FIELD
11/5/11 W 9-6 (OT)
1/9/12 L 21-0 (Championship)
11/3/12 L 21-17 (H)
11/9/13 L 38-17
11/8/14 L 20-13 (OT) (H)
11/7/15 L 38-17
11/5/16 L 10-0 (H)
11/4/17 L 24-10
11/3/18 L 29-0 (H)
11/9/19 W 46-41
12/5/20 L 55-17 (H)
11/6/21 L 20-14
11/5/22 W 32-31 (OT) (H) STORMED THE FIELD
11/4/23 L 42-28
11/9/24 L 42-13 (H)
11/8/25 L 20-9

We've STORMED THE FIELD every time we've won at home in the last 17 years (2010 and 2022). I'll be there ready to storm the field - after the students of course. LOL

Well, casual fans probably wouldn’t think much of it, but for those who have followed the sport for the last 20 years, it would mean something.

Also, this is about us. This is about LSU no longer looking at Alabama as the superior program and not getting overly excited about winning games we should expect to win every year. Now, I’m not saying Bama is going to become Mississippi State, but why can’t we have the same expectations when we play them?

Or we could. You know. Have fun and quit worrying about what message board users think.

I have yet to see a winning player mad because fans rushed the field.

People like to celebrate in community.

Future prospects don’t say “I was going to go there but man…their fans rushed the field “

They think “that looks fun”

We’ve rushed the field the last two times we beat Ole Miss. And you don’t think it happens when we beat Bama? Is this opposite world or something?

Of the last 20 national champions, only one team that I've found stormed its own field after a regular-season victory during its championship season, and that was Michigan in 2023, after beating Ohio State for the third consecutive year.

And that's exactly my point. When a program knows it's the big dog, its fans act accordingly. Winning big games is the expectation, not some monumental upset worth storming the field over.

Alabama is a perfect example of this. Their fans have never officially rushed the field in the modern era, and they're one of just four SEC programs, alongside Georgia, Florida, and Mississippi State, that have never been fined under the conference's field-storming policy established in 2004.

That's the mentality I want LSU to have, especially when it comes to Alabama. At some point, we have to stop treating beating them like we're pulling off some historic upset and start acting like we're a program that expects to win those games.

Did you read the subject? The last time a home team beat Bama and didn’t rush the field was LSU in 2010.

That means we beat Alabama and DIDN’T storm the field in 2010. We didn’t do it then, and we shouldn’t do it this Saturday either.

If LSU walks it off at end of game, they absolutely will.

I was just asking if LSU is up by two scores and the game is out of reach, would they still do it. Probably still yes.

Please don’t rush the field. We are the new standard. My gosh. Would be embarrassing if we did

BTW, that 2000 Tennessee game was an underrated big win. Great game and experience. Doesn't get recognized like the 1997 Florida, or 2003 UGA, but was awesome, nonetheless. 3rd and Chavis had no answer for Josh Reed, and Tennessee had a pretty good defense.
