re: The last time a home team hasn’t rushed the field after beating Bama was LSU 2010.

Because LSU was actually a slight favorite over Bama in 2010

Are you kidding me? The fans will be gone by mid 3rd qtr regardless of the outcome.
Has simply not been the case this year.

Why would we rush the field if we are favored to win against a 2 loss team?
LSU rushed the field 3 times after beating Ole Miss

LSU fans rushed the field in 2000 when LSU beat a 3-5 Alabama team.
That victory over Rammer Jammer in 2000 was the first one in PIMger Stadium in a long time.

Our fans will rush the field over beating just a decent team. I hate what the college kids do these days. I could see it for OM they havent won a single thing in 60 years. Lsu on the other hand has 2nd most football titles in college football this century. It is actually embarrassing.

No it isn't. We aren't OM, so dont act like them. Act like you been there before, which we have with only bama having more titles this century. Itbis embarrassing.

Unfortunatly the students start that ,LSU is a NC caliber program and we should be above that.

Why is embarrassing to have fun?
The players like it.
The fans like it.
But by all means make everyone miserable to score some message board points on the SEC rant
One of the few positives that outsiders have of Louisiana is that the culture likes to have fun and celebrate. Why would we not lean into that?

Why?
I have yet to hear a good reason why we shouldn’t celebrate.

They aren’t hard to identify. 100% probability they put it on Facebook

likely still happens and hand Bama over the $500k check Kentucky cut to us.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the individual schools get that money. I think it goes to the league office.
Eta: I think it would be dumb to rush the field for this game if we win. Like someone else mentioned, Bama is already a 2 loss team and we are favored to win.

No doubt.
Very proud of themselves.

The policy changed in May of 2025. $500k to opponent whether its first offense or 15th.

I'd have no problem rushing after beating one of Saban's bama teams who were always undefeated or had 1 loss in this matchup. This bama team does not warrant a field rush. We should expect to win, therefore, no field rush should take place. The whole point of rushing the field is to celebrate an unexpected win as an underdog.

Ah ok then it won't sting as much if it happens since we'll be forfeiting "free" money

THIS. No, literally, this is exactly what I was saying two years ago. I started a thread arguing that Bama is a 9-3, 8-4 program that doesn't deserve to have the field rushed anymore. As it turned out, we lost 42-13, so there was never even the slightest chance of a field storming to begin with.
Yes, I understand these are college kids who just want to go do stupid things when given the opportunity. But the message would be SO MUCH LOUDER if they didn't do it. I don't think a large percentage of the student body would understand the significance of that, though, and more than likely, they'll rush the field anyway.

In convincing fashion? No
In a game that goes down the final play for an LSU win…yes
