re: The hate on Nussmeir speaks more to the person spewing the hate.

If had the decision to make 4 million dollars and earn myself more money in the next draft because of it i sure would “bleed” purple and gold. Nussmeier came back which is a rare thing to do now but don’t crown him for it. Yes I can’t stand the fact that he flails on the ground after every hit and audibles out of QB runs. It’s hard to watch someone with a lack of talent but even harder to watch someone with a lack of talent and no chest.

i hope you are not suggesting that any criticism of Nuss is hate. I don't want him to ever take another snap for LSU, but I don't hate him.
I don't like the fact that he crippled this team trying to play when he physically could not play. I hear analysts talking all the time about teams becoming one dimensional, either all running or all passing. With Nuss this year we are zero dimensional.
I agree with you that there is no reason to really get on these kids. I believe Nuss wanted to succeed and tried hard. But I will never get over Nuss' and the coaches' decisions for him to play QB this year.

When a college QB played for a scholarship, this view was valid. However, Nussmeier is being paid more than most college graduates will make in 10 years. With that, he is open to criticism, and honestly, he deserves it.

Who says we hate the kid? Since when does negative comments about his ability turn into personal hate? Stop posting stupid crap

My point, Nussmeir loves LSU. I respect LSU players who love the program and gave their best effort.
The several million had nothing to do with him staying….

I hate the staff for rolling him out there. This was an easy issue. An easy call. They snubbed their nose at the fanbase, and did a disservice to the entire team.

If you blame Nuss for it being his decision to play or not you don’t understand how football works.

Ding ding ding. Dude looks like he stress eats bbq in the locker room.
Still can’t shake Scarborough coming out and saying he’s the laziest qb he’s seen in the ops building. Makes perfect sense.

Anyone hating Nuss as a person is just a weirdo. It’s not that deep.
That said I can’t stand Nuss as the starting qb.

Is it “hate “ if people never want to see Nuss take another snap?

You no have evidence that this is true. You made this up just like other posters. Nussmeier is a talented QB who wanted to be here and he was ruined by this abysmal offensive system and injuries.
Even if he sucks, that’s football. If you hate every player that doesn’t play well, then this game isn’t for you

Hey Garrett. Can you quote in my post where I said I hated you? I just said you suck at football.

You are hating on Nuss. You don’t think he gives us the best shot to win.
That makes you a hater, like the rest of us.

I don't hate the kid (and that's what he is), I hate that he is the LSU QB.

Yeah, I don't hate him. He's had some good games, helped us win a number of games, and because of how he finished the year last year, there were great expectations for this year. You know how that goes... The rumors of him not preparing/watching film, his refusal to run out of the pocket in most games and appearing hurt in some way after every time he goes down when he is getting paid 3.4 million or whatever hasn't endeared him to the fan base, but when you're losing, everyone gets picked on.
People are just frustrated with our whole team and the coaching and the QB often takes the majority of the heat when teams lose. I wish him the best even though I want MVB to get a chance to see how he would perform for a while game at this point. If it's Nuss though, I'm still pulling for him.

Please read coach Wilson's comments about Whit Weeks. Whit wanted to get in the Alabama game but they wouldn't let him. Because he was hurt. And he said they wouldn't let him play until he was healthy enough.
Nobody can convince me that Nuss didn't know he couldn't throw the ball more than 15 yards. to play QB with that knowledge let's everyone down, including yourself.
Every pass Nuss threw against Alabama was a tiny dink save for two throws. those throws were just long enough to not be called short but they were both slow floaters. the man could not physically throw any better than most fans because he was hurt.
