I'm assuming that since it is on SEC network, it will be on ESPN3?

You're apparently not savvy enough to understand the economic impact which LSU home games { especially vs. good opponents}, have on the greater B>R> economy...the businesses have supported and DEPENDED on LSU home games for decades....these are tough times and now LSU is in the business of SELLING HOME games and giving back Towson States...do you get it now ??? Have you ever owned/operated a business...taken business classes ? It's NOT all about the flash of playing big neutral site games every year...it actually COSTS the local economy. If you can't comprehend this...I simply can't help you any further..lol

Dogshit TV.

Kentucky is woeful, so the stadium atmosphere is essential irrelevant, but the early kickoff will certainly undermine tailgating and crowd noise.

Yes ... and there will be no Pam Ward. It will be Dave Neal, Andre Ware, and Cara Capuano.

Which is a tough deal for the businesses and all, but not something that either the SEC or CBS cares about at all. They are all about maximizing viewership and profit for the league and the network, not subsidizing the BR economy. Perhaps those owners whose business plan revolves around 6-8 Saturdays a year might need to rethink their strategy or find a new line of work.

One home game is removed from the schedule so the tean can go to Dallas and make money for the Athletic Department above and beyond what the season ticket sales generate

LSU playing Oregon in Dallas was a dumb move? I guess being the most talked about team in college football for the first 3 weeks of the season is irrelevant. Oklahoma is the #1 team in the country and I haven't heard a word about them until this week. Meanwhile, LSU has been talked about on national radio/tv since the middle of August.

Yes, it's called being part of a conference. Texas wanted to make their own rules, and look what it did to their conference. LSU plays in the best conference in the country, and we should do our share to help the conference when needed. They have been very fair with us in only scheduling 1 early game every 2 years.

Nope, sounds like accomodating NYCajun is priority #245. The rest of the fan base understands.

I'm sorry, but McDonald's is not going out of business because LSU has to play a home game at 11:21 AM. Ray Kroc knew how to run a business, apparently you do not.

Okay, this will be my first game at TS since '88. (I know ) Bringing my son for his first TS experience. Coming in from Orlandeaux for the game. What time will parking fill up? What's the best place to park? How much before game time until traffic gets too bad?
Yes, it has been a while.

Which businesses solely rely on LSU home games? Those days are over. It's not 1982 anymore. Btw, it's near impossible to get big time home and home games and it's going to get even more difficult with the SEC adding more good programs. They'll be no need to schedule big OOCs. Line up a game with a lesser school and no one shows up anyway so your argument isn't valid.

I will give my ticket to the Kentucky Game to someone else at work to use. I don't do early morning games, but I will do the rest. Besides, Northwestern is at home that weekend and my son plays in their band. Fortunately, it was the only schedule conflict for the season.

Does anyone know if the Pasttimes shuttle will run? Has anyone ever gone this route before? Do they serve breakfast?

You should stop twisting my words first...I did NOT say businesses rely "solely" on LSU home games !
What I DID say was...businesses are impacted by LSU SELLING its' home games on a regular basis and then giving us Towson States !
EVERYONE understands TV money drives this whole thing and concessions have to be made if you want to play in a big time conference...most people are fine with the rare 11 am game. What hurts economically is the repeated SELLING of home dates...I believe it sets a bad precedent and will lead to more poor home schedules. It IS possible to schedule competitive home/home games and we should do more of it and less Towsons / neutral site games.
The SEC HAS what the networks want btw. asking for what the conference wants in exchange IS a possibility although I doubt the B'ham office has ever thought about it !
