PG- Chris Jackson
SG- Pete Maravich
SF- Rudy Macklin
PF- Stromile Swift/Bob Petit
C- Shaquille O'Neal

Teams like UK, Duke, Kansas, and UNC would be better in depth. . .but that is one of the best starting 5's you will ever see

Add in the Secret Weapon. . .Ben MF Voogd

Now only if we could get them together on a single team. That would be awesome.

Even Dale would have screwed it up with that lineup

The year we had Shaq and Stanley (The Twin Towers) and Chris Jackson, I thought we had it made.....didn't happen as I hoped it would.

No offense to Rudy, but John Williams at SF is a much better option.

Joe Dean
Hi C
Jerry Reynolds

All from the Pre-CJ/Shaq era were great, great basketball players.

Bass, Thomas, Big Baby and Temple all could have started for final four teams from their eras as well. Mitchell as well.

You should probably stop screaming that at people..

Based off this starting 5 only Stromile/Bob Petit are from Louisiana

I saw both play and can’t imagine any scenario where I choose Big John over Rudy.

Bob Petit is an all time great. He was supreme in his day in college and the NBA. He shouldn’t be co anything.

Petit
Pete
Shaq
Jackson
Macklin/Stro/plus Sparky Wade

It is so funny to hear some of you posters say this. He was a Ref job from making 3 final fours in 7 years, including 2 in a row....and other nice runs in the tourney. No other coach has ever come close to that at LSU....and people like you put him down because he couldn't win it all. You people think he screwed up coaching in the early 90s when we lost in the second round to Ga Tech. Go back and look at that Ga Tech team. I think they also had 3 future NBA stars.

The game was effortless to John Williams, he was incredible. Rudy would be my 1st off the bench.

My fantasy / What could have been team, if only.

Pete
Chris
Pettit
Williams
Shaq

Bench:
Rudy
Randy Livingston (What a devastating injury)
Stanley Roberts
Ben Simmons

No way Williams starts over Rudy. You have to be a youngster and didn’t see Big Rudy play . Also while we putting together dream team. Let’s put Ricky Blanton on team for that hustle and leader guy.
