Targeting his helmet like they did to Daniels. Call it even without penalty

Unlike Milroe who would easily break arm tackles because of his size and strength, Russell is much more like the Aggie QB, slender and relies more on speed, however I don’t think he runs as well as Reed either.
22 sacks on him a lot for a mobile QB compared to only 11 for Sam

He often drives exactly the speed limit in the left lane of the interstate with his right blinker on.

Elaborate?

I don’t know how much you’ve seen him play but his ability to make plays downfield after escaping the pocket is deadly. It’s very Jamarcusssque.

He has a cannon. He holds the ball a long time trying ti get it downfield.

It’s a major threat. The play almost doesn’t start until Russell moves off his spot.

He definitely appears to be a better passer than Milroe, however that was as one-dimensional a QB as we've ever seen and the D still failed

This guy worries me with his scrambling abilities.

He can run. But he’s the opposite of Milroe. He’s more of a passer than a runner despite his running ability.

How big a truck we talking about?

Russell is good, no doubt. But have him rated at 8.1, whereas Leavitt is rated at 8.5. So whatever you think of Leavitt, knock off about 10% (cajun math), and that's Russell.

Russell does average 9.3 yards per attempt, but Alabama has allowed 23 sacks in eight games. LSU has 31 sacks, etc. If LSU disrupts the pocket while keeping him contained, I don't see him getting close to the 9.3 yards per attempt.

most deadly Qb when he ad libbed in LSU history....until burrow.

bryce young was dangerous at throwing downfield once he was flushed from the pocket also.

I thought my comparison was pretty good. Keelon Russell is a problem. If you can't get your hands on him and either give him time or allow him to create time, he's going to hurt you.

Do not over rush, build the wall in front of him or he will burn our defense. Call the similar game we had against aTm Reed.

You can't.

He's very good from the pocket. Reed couldn't make plays from the pocket. Russell can kill you.

You have to get pressure and you have to be able to speed him up once he leaves the pocket. He has made some mistakes and sometimes holds it too long.

Weeks was perfect for that role because he closes the distance so quickly.

I think we will bring pressure all day with one guy kind of spying to take an angle once he escapes.

Cannon arm. Athletic dude. Struggles with accuracy and decision making at times.

No running game, no OL.

Baker puts pressure on him we win.
