beyond happy for TJ, but I'd really rather him go succeed somewhere in the ACC or Big 12. Don't want to have to root against the kid should he go to Florida.

North Carolina must be the spot. Gonna sit a year behind Sam Howell.

They just landed a top QB last cycle in Drake Maye.

5 star on 247
4 star on 247 composite rankings.

why not Michigan, Nebraska or USC or something? He’s a dangerous quarterback

According to TJ, He wants to play against the best.

A&M

Not surprising, Finley is in that same mold as Jamarcus, EJ Manuel, Jameis Winston that Fisher loves.

IMO he is too slow for SEC play and is not accurate enough.

FSU would be a really good fit. Wish him the best...solid kid with high upside potential with a rifle arm. If he gets a really good QB coach to work with him on his feet, we can flourish. His accuracy issues relate more to his lower body technique.

Somebody mentioned earlier that Jimbo has the #1 DT QB committed for this class which I thought strange because Jimbo does not run his QB by design. As you said Finley fits the mold of guys he has played in the past.

Also, someone else mentioned UNC above. Mack Brown is another good QB guy that wants a pro style guy.

Unlike the current group which may be completely suspect until proven. Just because you worked with Brady for several months does not mean you can run the offense.

His on field production. Figured he could go somewhere along the likes of ULL or LaTech and start immediately,

While I don't know that he would start immediately anywhere in the SEC, he could become a starter. He got us 2 Ws and had some freshman struggles as well, but our O-line, running game and receiving were not that great last year. He definitely got valuable experience as a true freshman and clearly has a very good arm. It's the pocket presence and progressions that he has to work on, but he is physically talented enough.

Deion's son will be the starter there for the next 2-3 years.

Not sure why he would go to A&M. They have a solid crop of QBs and commits already (Connor Weigman 5* dual threat QB). He wouldn't play there either.

Although Connor very well may not even make it to college as he is a highly touted baseball player.

The guy was a true freshman starting in the sec and wasn’t terrible. This in a season with limited practices due to COVID. How seemingly the majority of this board couldn’t see that and continued to post crap like this with our history if quarterbacks is beyond me.

The guy has obvious talent and did fairly well and a lot can happen in 3-4 years developmentally.

Sure he was third. You know who else was third at one point at Ohio state as a freshman? Joe burrow

first of all, it's the rant, secondly, Burrow has spoilt everyone Finley has the potential to be sort of like Mettenberger(and after the qb drought we had been through before he came here everyone thought he was the next Joe Montana,), concrete boots, strong arm, if he has some protection could be a good college qb

He definitely should NOT play for Mullen. Mullen's offense is so much more dynamic when he has a somewhat mobile QB.
