if they added to the south only. that's gotta top 115,000 total for Tiger Stadium.
Someone guess?
Both sides would top 130,000.
15,000 on each side.
that's what happened when the east side was added- +15,000 more.

My guess is it would be more suites and club seats with some bleacher seats above them kind of like Florida's End Zone.

No idea but it took forever. I can't imagine how long it would take to build there. One thing me and my friends were talking about as cool archetectual feature would be to have the S. stadium drive still pass right there and pass underneath the stadium. It would be just one more thing to make us unique. Other wise we would loose more parking space due to having to move that street around. It would have to cut through the parking lot. Any other suggestions would happen?

Let's hope they don't hire the same bozos who built the new west upper deck. Was it MAPP Construction?

Nope, Yates Construction. MAPP did the other side.

Then they could do the right thing and give the WHOLE north endzone to the students.

I have heard that the big reason to expand the south EZ is basically to add more suites with some seating above them. So I am not sure how much the capacity will be increased.

I would like to see LSU update the scoreboards. Modernize them a little and upgrade the PA system. I don't want HUGE jumbotrons but a little larger than the ones we have now would be nice.

It seems this could be done at a nominal cost (relatively speaking) before the south end zone is closed in. Unless they can't plan for it and do it until the south end zone is expanded.

I would love to see us get serious about improving the scoreboard and jumbotrons. They are both very substandard right now. I can live with a high school scoreboard, but the jumbotron we have currently is an embarrassment. We are going to have the money, so lets make it happen LSU.

I was talking to my friend and he heard about them starting to build on the south side end zone in 2010. I don't know how true this is, but it still got me excited

No,MAPP, did a great job on the EAST upper deck. Yates construction is who jacked up the WEST upper deck and took a year too long and big tyme bucks over budget.

BTW: they are ole miss contractors!

MAPP built the east upper. The west upper was built by Yates Construction for Mississippi.

Got friends who work in the athletic department and from what I have heard it souds like 2010-2011 as a possible start date. The capacity I heard was more like 125,00 but from hearing you guys, 125 sounds way overstated.

At what depth is the water table in BR? You'd need some big arse pumps to keep that sucker dry.

i think he means he would like to see south stadium kept at grade with the stadium projecting over.

that would be a feat

Exactly, It would be completely understandable if it wasn't possible, but I think it would just be just a great architectural design that really couldn't be topped any where. And just how awesome would it be on a normal day to drive "underneath" the stadium and be something else to set us apart in terms of the rest of the country.

Its already the supposed toughest place to play in CFB. You may as well make it the largest too. Maybe LSU could move up a spot in the world rankings from 3rd to 2nd. Can't wait to hear the noise of another 25k.

Top ten in the world

They need to do something with the old stadium dorms first. I still say we spring Edwin from Federal Prison, change a bunch of election laws and get him elected to governon again. He would get us a sports bar and a casino right in Tiger stadium.
