I plan to welcome him back by pouring a bottle of fine Champagne over his head, but I'm going to drink it first.

I always thought that LSU should have a Voodoo queen standing in the opposing teams tunnel dancing, casting spells and holding live snakes over her head when they come onto the field. That would be scarier than Mike the Tiger.
Les will have him eating at the Y by the end of the third quarter.
My take is that at least 85 percent of what he wrote is utter bullshite. The guy takes actual events and dresses them up like Christmas trees.
John Ed, if you read this then please get over the USC game. The Trojans won - the Tigers lost. Find another reason to live.
ETA: John Ed, I'm really happy that you managed to get laid. So have most of us. But most of us don't talk about it or name names.

Years ago people would meet at Ramparts in Alexandria, but I don't know if the place is even still there.

Yea right. All the men and women buried in Arlington National Cemetery are heroes. Just like the guy buried there who was shot dead by the DCPD while he tried to blow up the Washington Monument. It happened in the early 80's.

Les is not the same man as Tommy Tubberville. Les made a decision and will stick with it until an appropriate time to make a change. Les will not toss someone under the bus in mid season.
Les came to LSU following the most popular coach in our history. He knew that and accepted the challenge.
Les played for Michigan and lettered twice under the greatest and most honorable coach they had since Fielding Yost.
If Les looked over his shoulder and told me to take this hill then I would follow him to the top. If Nick Saban said let's take this hill then I'd be looking over my shoulder waiting for that son of a bitch to shoot me in the back.
Les knows loyalty and integrity. He not only preaches it he lives it.
Les knows that adversity breeds character and he will lead us through this.
Les Miles is a man's man. He is the example of what I hope my son grows to be.
FEAR THE HAT.

Saban came here for the $$$
That and the fact that Louisiana was a coach's dream of a recruiting area - and LSU was the only game in town.
If you don't believe me then believe Little Nicky. He said so himself.
And I will not provide a link. Find it yourself.

But to compare their tenures strictly by wins and losses is flat out dumb.
Wins and losses are not my only criteria.
Les Miles is articulate and constructs complete sentences. Little Nicky cannot say anything without including airight, in terms of, the process, and self gratification.
Les Miles is a loyal and devoted man. Little Nicky would stomp on his kids' pet hamster if someone paid him to do it. And make them watch.

Gee, I don't know. Congressional earmarks?

LSU paid $1.6 million to lure Saban here.
Hey, dumbass. LSU could have had the money grubbing whore for a lot less. Little Nicky was not "lured" anywhere. Tubberville wanted the job until the SEC commissioner told him to back off and that is when Jimmy Sexton, Tubesteak's agent, started pimping Little Nicky, also his client. Saban approached LSU, not vice versa, and we got him because we had been shot down by every other decent college coach in America.

Miles came in after Saban to a team any coach could have won with.
Saban walked into a situation that would have given any coach a perpetual erection, namely the Tiger Athletic Foundation.
I hate to say it, but LSU through TAF is school that made it more profitable to be a mediocre college football coach than to find a cure for cancer. Little Nicky may well have filled the seats in Tiger Stadium, but TAF put them there and it is what payed for the academic center and all the other athletic upgrades. Anyone who does not realize that is an idiot.

Miles wins more games. Period.
You have to be 14. Or the most narrow minded short busser on this board.
Hey, Einstein. Little Nicky's last three seasons at LSU the Tigers were 30-9. Les Miles' first three seasons at LSU the Tigers were 33-6.
Little Nicky's last four seasons at LSU the Tigers were 40-12. For Les Miles' to have a record that bad the Tigers will have to LOSE FOUR more football games before the end of this season.
You do understand basic mathematics; Don't you? It was taught in First Grade when I went to school.

Saban is lucky?
You're right. He isn't lucky. LSU deserved to go to the SECCG to face Tennessee after LOSING THREE conference games. One of them to Tennessee. He wasn't lucky that LSU made it into the 2003 BCS championship game because Idaho beat Hawaii the last weekend of the season - or some equally ridiculous teams that I cannot remember the names of.
Sure Les' LSU team is the only two loss team to ever win the national championship. But there was a time when money did not dictate and college football seasons were shorter. I guess it doesn't matter that several 10-1 teams have been national champions - and one or two of them were instead of an undefeated team.
Now, go cheer for Saban and Bammer.

How many "Saban Sucks arse!! He must Geaux!!" posts were there? How many called for Saban's head during 2002?
Right here, Pal. The very first post I made on the board was under a different handle on September 2, 2002. I called out the little money grubbing whore for taking an unprepared LSU team into Blacksburg and getting his arse handed to him by Frank Beamer and Virginia Tech.
Saban had some good teams at LSU, but the moon, stars and planets all aligned for LSU's SEC and BSC championships. Nick Saban is a good coach, but he is also very lucky. He is also a reprehensible lying sack of shite and I'll take Les Miles over Nick Saban any day.
Les Miles > Nick Saban. Anyone who disagrees can go piss up a rope.
Why don't you have a pink elephant with huge red lips and fake eyelashes wearing a tutu? The critter can be carrying a parasol and underneath it should read, "Stroll Tide."

I can't believe you guys are posting this shite.

I not only think they can I think they will. I offered to bet a Gump alumnus 50 bucks with no points and he wouldn't take it.

The first 2 Loss MNC in my lifetime
Every other team worth a damn also lost two in the regular season. Except Ohio State. Perhaps they should have been sent the trophies without playing for them.
Of course the only SEC team to lose three conference games and get to play for the championship against one of the three teams they lost to was LSU.
The Tigers won the SEC in 2001, by beating Tennessee after Fat Phil had owned Quitter Nick in the regular season. LSU had lost three - THREE - conference games and got to replay Tennessee for the SECCG. We won and the Vols were left out of the BCSNCG.
Just one more example of Little Nicky's overinflated reputation.
Les Miles rules. Fear the Mad Hatter. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
