2002 Sugar Bowl vs. Illinois...first time we had been to a major bowl since 1986 and even though we lost the Monroe ABC station signal due to a drunk driver hitting the telephone pole in front of it most of the game, it was an amazing night!

I remember it snowing that night of the 2002 sugar bowl.

Not sure the year but it was back in the 80’s and we were playing A&M. I was about 10 or so. I remember sitting in the stands with my parents and My fondest memory of the game was Todd Kinchen wore their arse out over the middle all game long. Not sure if we won the game or not but it is definitely a memory that will stick with me forever.

Mauck to Skyler Green was the start of the next level for LSU FB.
That was great, but LSU started to ascend way before that.
When we beat Miss St, Tenn in overtime, Tenn in the Sec Championship, Ill in the Sugar bowl, all of that was before the 2003 season even started.

How about Alabama 1982, WE BEAT THE BEAR T shirts.
Defense was so Jacked, One of the early bama series a running back got nailed and his helmet flew off.

Yes, but 2002 left a stale taste. Mauck injury, 31-0 loss to bama, got smoked @Aub, Miracle on Markham, Texas comfortably wins the Cotton. Highlights were stomping UF and the BG Miracle.
UGA 2003 is when it felt like we had arrived to stay for a while.

My favorite memory of LSU football is barely a memory at all for me. Almost more of a feeling.
I don't even remember the specific game. But, it happened in 1975 or 1976. Terry Robiskie was our guy at Tailback and I was watching the game with my dad. I was 8 or 9 years old.
Later in a tough game, Robiskie breaks a long run(I think I recall it being around the left side). He scores. During the run, my dad, who was standing in the middle of the living room, leaped into the air throwing his hands up. Both hands hitting the ceiling. He left a perfect left handprint and his right hand actually broke into the dry wall a bit leaving the impression.
The ceiling remained exactly that way until we moved in the early 80s. But, an 8 or 9 year old boy went from a casual LSU fan to a lifelong LSU fan that day. I literally still remember that day every season when LSU starts.
So, my favorite memory of LSU is sort of also my favorite memory of my dad.

What was fun trailing Houston 34-14 with 15 minutes to go? Of course, Kevin Faulk took over in a "whew, we won" game

1997 Florida was great. Earthquake game was too.

Running out the clock in the Superdome as we were winning the 2003 National Championship.

I definitely agree but that Georgia game in ‘03 was a watershed moment and like previously posted, the stadium chanting “LSU” after Georgia’s last score was like something out of a movie....gave me chills
