Watching Guice break that run against USCe a couple years ago when the hurricane hit them and we hosted was pretty incredible. That and the Auburn game where Fournette went off was epic.

But probably the best was when Ol Piss came into Death Valley right after les’s Mother passed. They were ranked second or something. After many missed opportunities, we put together an epic drive with literally the last play being a pass—a play action to the TE for the touchdown to go up 10-7. Then defense closed it out with some pics and made pretty boy literally walk off the field before the clock even expired. Made him quit.

MY God, that crowd/team reaction to the announcement of USC’s loss was amazing.

and I'll throw in the 1970 LSU/Notre Dame revenge game in Baton Rouge after losing 3-0 the previous year in South Bend.

That would be 1971..... Just sayin... The night I became an LSU fan living in Michigan and watching LSU beat ND 28-8 and the fans carrying Bert Jones off the field... The place was rocking and the D stand in the south end zone was A thing of beauty....

But my favorite memory is the USC game in 1979...

LSU had ZERO BIZ being on the same field with A LOADED USC team yet came within an inch of beating them... A constant buzz the whole game in the stadium the whole game.... I have never heard anything close since..... And then we take Bama to the wire a few weeks later and lose 3-0....

My favorite memory of LSU football is barely a memory at all for me. Almost more of a feeling.

I don't even remember the specific game. But, it happened in 1975 or 1976. Terry Robiskie was our guy at Tailback and I was watching the game with my dad. I was 8 or 9 years old.

Later in a tough game, Robiskie breaks a long run(I think I recall it being around the left side). He scores. During the run, my dad, who was standing in the middle of the living room, leaped into the air throwing his hands up. Both hands hitting the ceiling. He left a perfect left handprint and his right hand actually broke into the dry wall a bit leaving the impression.

The ceiling remained exactly that way until we moved in the early 80s. But, an 8 or 9 year old boy went from a casual LSU fan to a lifelong LSU fan that day. I literally still remember that day every season when LSU starts.

So, my favorite memory of LSU is sort of also my favorite memory of my dad.

It was the year 2000 or 2001. Rohan Davey hits Robert Royal on first down in OT to topple the mighty Vols. I was there with my dad and it was so loud that it was said that the players could feel the noise as pain in their hands.

It was the week after the UAB debacle and was the signature win for the Nictator in his first year and was the beginning of the era of championships.

Lsu vs usc. No contest. USC backfield was Paul McDonald freshman fullback marcus Allen and heisman tailback Charles white. Their safeties were Ronnie Lott and Jeff Fisher. About 15 nflers on usc and a lot on Lsu as well. We beat their butt and got robbed by the refs still got my ticket stub. Will sell for a mil

Game was on my Birthday
ESPN Gameday filmed me cooking Gator at Chimes the Friday before and used it in a segment on the show (though I never saw it since I was tailgating - friends and family that watched told me they saw me)
I remember staying and just soaking it all in after the game. One of the last fans to leave the stadium. After the previous 8 years I felt the “magic was back.” If only for a moment.

That was magnificent, and IMHO was the beginning of the Modern Era of LSU Football, which have proven to be the Halcyon Days of same.

i’ve been going to games since the Arnsparger era.

and for the first time in my entire life, I walked out of Death Valley KNOWING we were going to be #1 in every poll on the planet.

yeah prior to that, there was a few times i felt like we should be #1. But that night, for the first time, there was absolutely no doubt it was happening.

other is discussion for me (only counting games i attended):
my first ever game (A&M ‘86)
Earthquake game. I knew something special happened but didn’t realize how special at the time.
Twillie’s pick vs Auburn in ‘95
Taking down Florida in ‘97
the “replay” vs Bama in ‘00
Matt Mauck to Skyler Green
Kicking Va Tech’s arse
the above mentioned UF game in ‘07
seeing 12-0 up on the Video Board after smoking Arky in ‘11 damn near brought a tear to my eye

in non-football
brought my son (6 years old at the time) to his first ever LSU baseball game to see his hero, Mikie Mahtook, play in person.
as a 4 year old in ‘09 he absolutely fell in love with Mikie. and would ask often “when does Mikie play again” (not even calling them LSU, just Mikie). Kid didn’t even understand baseball really. But something about Mahtook just grabbed his attention and kept it.
so we go to opening day in 2011 against Wake Forrest.
and Mikie hit 2 of them out that night. cementing his status as a God for my son.

Earthquake game
Nix to Twillie
UF 97, stormed the field
2005 Arizona State

Most fun/surreal: Started DAVEY DAVEY DAVEY chant that spread through LSU section at halftime of Ga Tech Peach Bowl, and we all went ape shite when Davey started warming up. Then DAVEY lit up GT for 28 in the 2nd half
