This is what happens when you don't have a real OC or QB coach

And don’t tell me it throws off the timing of the offense because 3 step or 5 step drop is the same fricking count no matter what foot you cross over with.

Actually, it would matter because he needs the last step to have his back foot be the last step.

Eta: Unless it's 3 steps for each foot. Again, I've never played QB.

He’s a lefty so shouldn’t it be the other way around?

What did people think that after all the years of QBs failing to be coached up that the TE coach was really the answer to that problem?

My brother was at practice recently and said the same thing.

Basically said none of the QB's look impressive and neither does the offense in general. It could be a long year.

They’ve had like 7 or 8 practices in the new offense along with a lot of new players on offense. I’m sure it looks rough at this point

Would be fun for McMillan to get the nod and watch the Rant implode.

I'm sure this would happen but honestly, I would just smh.

I went through the Chad Loup, Jesse Daigle, Brian Sparacino type years.

They're not fun

I agree. I wouldn't expect any OC to have the offense humming along against this defense with returning players like this. Not yet at least.

Said Narcisse had to be constantly reminded by E on his dropbacks to go left foot over right and that when he finally got that right he would one-hop the pass to the receiver. But E was on him really hard about doing things the right way.

Now I know these people are full of shite and just making shite up for clicks. Narcisse is left handed and if he was trying drop back as described he would be facing the wrong way...

Im calling bullshite on this

That's one way to look at it. The other is that Narcisse, having limited time under center, is taking his drop back using his right foot first. If that's the case he's taking an extra step on the drop back to get his feet right and causing timing issues.

It's not really clear what's going on.

McMillan smoke seems pretty legit at this point.

Didn't someone say they ran into Etling and asked him who he thinks would start and he said McMillan?

McMillan couldn’t even get on the field with Etling at QB. Not a good sign.

To answer your question, yes that's what people thought.

Bunch of gullible fans on here.

Bunch of bad arse QB coaches in here. Maybe one of you should step up and have E take a seat?

I have little confidence in The Orgeron or Coach E, but less in these sources.
Based on everything I have seen and heard, I think Brennen starts and that he will be a good, but inexperienced QB, with significant potential. If we can generate a running game, he could put up good Soph. numbers.

To establish a running game the QB must be able to complete timing routes over middle and to side lines to keep LBs off the line.... this is how Bama beats our arse every year... especially when we don't have a dominating RB this year
