He hired Johnny Jones. The guy that broke the record for most consecutive losses. The program needs a rebuild because of Alleva.

What a shtty post. You name 3 good things, then stuck on one bad thing that he did not have the only voice on. Some of you just have to find something wrong even when you have nothing to complain about at the moment.
Track teams did well, Gymnastics is winning ships, baseball + Softball are ranked again, and other sports just don't get love.
Get out y'all's feelings and at least be happy while there's nothing to be butthurt about at the moment.

I'm not some die-hard Alleva defender but the dude should get some credit for this hire. Damn good hire IMO. And so many of the rant "geniuses" were on here speaking in absolutes about how there was no way he wasn't gonna frick it up. EAD assholes.
And of course the Orgeron hire. The process was ugly and clunky but I'm not as down on the actual hire as so many are. Neither Herman nor Fisher were coming, and I've been pretty thrilled with Orgeron's handling of the program so far overall.
Obviously Wade will have the fans behind him from the start. I'd just love for all of the pathetic whiners to get behind Orgeron too and pull for him to succeed, not bitch about how bad he's gonna be before he's even coached a regular season game as the permanent coach. In other words, take some Midol and just SHUT. THE . frick. UP!!! You bunch of crybaby assholes.

I think he finally handled a process quickly, concisely, and got his man on the first try. I don't think it could have gone much better. But a good basketball hire doesn't make me forget about everything else he's flubbed.

We have yet to see if we will have any success with Will Wade. Let's wait and see.

As much as I dislike Alleva, the one thing I can say is he has done a good job with pushing and upgrading a lot of the different athletic facilities, especially for gymnastics. DD has been pushing for a nicer facility for year but what she got was much bigger than ever imagined. She now has arguably the best gymnastics training facility of the world.
