The man cannot play QB. He has been at it for more than three years now. He is indecisive as heck.

He doesn’t understand throwing before a break. He only throws to wide open receivers

2 that throw to the far side is tough because he tends to throw behind the reciever. Likely to be a int.

Maybe he has no idea how to read a defense

Posts like these accomplish nothing but pit ignorant fans against the players and team.

I could pull every play from the Skycast and show you examples of tons of problems from that game that are way more than JD not making the correct read and throwing the ball.

Did that happen, yes? Constantly, absolutely not!

There were just as many dropped passes as poor reads.

There were just as many plays with no one open.

There were plays with pass protection breaking down before receivers were even making their cuts.

Look, JD needs to improve, but so does Denbrock and the receivers.

This is not all on JD.

Meh, I’ll give you 2. Top of the screen is a pick 6 if he throws that ball.

Best option for YAC is top of the screen outside the hash. Can’t float that one though.

He’s got 2 options. The throw out wide, I think that’s Jaray, would have been picked off. Looks like the CB was baiting him

It looks like Hilton is about to break open at the bottom, and the fly patter has the safety beat for a 50/50 ball over the top.

Lots of options.

If the ball is on it's way to 10 at this moment, he breaks a tackle it's a long gainer. He can throw it to the outside shoulder of 86. Probably a low catch percentage though. It's too late for the throw to Williams, too much traffic. 8 is a positi e gain.

If you watch the play his first route was the tight end. Then he looks at Nabors and sees the safety coming up. He probably could have gotten the ball to him before he tucked it.

CB wasn’t baiting anything. There are shots ITT from a second earlier, when Jenkins is starting his break, and the CB is 6 yards off.

Using still shots is hardly an accurate way to determine where a quarterback should throw the ball.

Well thank god he provided a freaking video link then…

I think Denbrock deserves alot of blame for his lack of creativity, his inability to force Jayden into easy throws (like flare routes), and for the personnel decisions and use of the personnel... However, Jayden deserves equally as much blame for the passing game's lack of production. I actually watched the first half the other day in the skycam view, and a few plays stood out to me.

Play 1:

Jayden's first read is 2 quick outs to the right side. Its a terrible play call for a guy who is known to never throw the ball into traffic. Lets have him make a cross field throw where if he misses inside its a pick 6.

As expected, he passes on that option. For a quick second, he looks backside to Nabers.

The pocket is perfectly clean, and its clear Nabers will be in a huge window in the middle of the field in just a short second. A little eye manipulation of the backer would help, but probably not even necessary. He just has to have some anticipation here, instead...

So what is the result?

Play 2:

Denbrock designs a nice play here. On the right side Mason Taylor is essentially setting a pick for Boutte, to free him up in space in the middle of the field. Yet for some reason Jayden's initial look is to the double-covered Nabers. I would hope this was to influence the safety, but for some reason I doubt that was the case

The LB covering the RB has no bailed, completely freeing up the middle of the field as Boutte comes across. I would think this is an easy throw and an easy 1st down for a WR as talented as Boutte, who probably just needs to make a little move on the safety after the catch. We just need Jaden to go back to what should have been his initial read

Nope... Even though there is a decent pocket, his brain is telling him its been too long and he needs to bail

Play 3:

Lacy is in the game, running a post route. It has become clear at this point that he is 1on1 with a safety.

Lacy puts a hell of a move on the safety, at the top of his route. The ball should be released now. He has the defender beat to the inside

Not open enough for Daniels. Lets look backside to maybe the best WR in the country. It looks like he has the defenders beat! This is your chance to stretch the defense and take a shot, let her rip!

Instead, we try to run out of a clean pocket, but when we can't get anywhere we opt for the fadeaway throw out of bounds

Yup. 1st and 10, take the 5 or 7 yards to open up the playbook for 2nd.

That said. We shouldn't have 4 of our 5 receivers at the same depth. Doesn't create space. Keeps too many defenders close to the receiver, which will limit YAC.

4 receivers running 3-5 yd pass patterns right to or before the defenders. No crossing patterns, no tandem patterns, just 3-5 yd passes when you need 10 yards. This is not a first class passing game approach.
