Walker Howard is not transferring

He and Jamie watched the so-called open competition, and JD was just here for one year. They wont trust that Denbrock ends up finding another running QB in the portal, after Walker burns another year
Its a new era in college sports. Bo Nix left his legacy school and is now in the running for the Heisman. Walkers wont hesitate to do the same

Anybody that thinks Walker Howard would transfer if Daniels comes back doesn't know dip about the Howards.
Posted on 11/14/22 at 6:52 pm to Hurricane2020
That was also Burrow’s first year to be a starting QB while JD already had 30 starts before transferring to LSU. Daniels could possibly develop into a NFL QB but comparing his Jr year to Burrow is apples to oranges.

Why would he leave?
He has no NFL prospects
He will prolly stay and get whatever NIL $ he can scrounge up.
Maybe he could convert to WR but the NFL has no interest in QBs that cannot read defenses and throw the
ball downfield into tight windows.

I'll believe that when it happens..

I see. I take it you’re one of those who are still convinced it was rigged and Daniels wasn’t our best option at QB?

Bo Nix left Auburn because it was a dumpster fire, not because of playing time.
LSU is anything but a dumpster fire right now. We just clinched the SECw division title. Players have clearly bought in. I trust that Walker and Jamie Howard are smart enough to see through tRant conspiracy theories and grasp the bigger picture.

I expect he'll return next year unless we win the Natty this year and he plays lights out the remainder of the games.

So true; no one seems to want to understand this, but good college QB..

returning to LSU versus going NFL or to another university ? I'd be shocked by either of the latter two.

i think howard could beat out Daniels if Kelly whats a passing QB. I think Howard pushes Daniels for the starting spot next year. Not sure Daniels will ever be more than just a running QB that can pass occasionally
This is the correct take and probably what Daniels is thinking of. There’s a very real chance he doesn’t keep his job next year if he comes back. Kelly has talked highly about Walker on multiple occasions.

Hes just WAY to inaccurate on most passes. Even most of his completions aren’t thrown to the right spot to allow the WR/TE/RB the chance to get some good YAC!!

Did you miss the last game?
No NFL minded QB is going to sit for an emtire year behind a guy that cant even throw for 100 yds. Thats laughable. They want the reps. Walker will go 2 years without any meaningful snaps
JD leads the P5 in sacks, and is in the bottom half of SEC QBs in stats. Arkys 3rd string QB threw for more yds Sat, against our much better defense

That won't change with another year of misreads and run-first mentality. He doesn't have good touch and obviously only throws to wide open receivers
I think you are wrong. We saw a ton of progress through the Alabama game, then a regression for Arkansas. He needs to get back on track and keep improving. Based on what we saw so far this year, I think he will.
Next year I expect to see the QB we saw against Alabama, but with a little more accuracy. I think you will also see the deep ball come into play more.

Did you watch Saturdays game. Of course he's coming back

Daniels will be a pre-season heisman favorite & projected top draft pick if he comes back.
Even if JD won the heisman next season I would be very surprised if he gets drafted above the 3rd around

You think a guy wants to sit a year to develop, but refuses to sit 2?
That makes no sense

He is 100% coming back and Walker will see plenty of action next season as a RS Fr
Not enough consistency to be leaving this year
Not enough consistency to be leaving this year

Kind of crazy we may only get 1 year of Howard

Walker's out then. In this league, with the current NIL money getting thrown around and the ability to transfer, you establish yourself early or risk sitting and getting passed up by someone else down the road.
