If true I’d expect Nuss to go transfer maybe closer to home like SMU or North Texas

JD5 / Walker Howard / Rickie Collins

Happy that his son is not thrown to the wolves early like he was. Who do you think wanted him to take a RS anyway?

Short of us winning the Natty - which would mean his passing has at least flashed NFL caliber - of course he is. Would you draft this guy?

Nuss walks right in the door and takes over QB at UTSA. Good Coach/Program that Coach Doug is prolly familiar with.

I agree he will probably return. But he has to know that Walker is right on his heals. There is a chance WH could beat him out!

gotta think nuss is out after that

Those terms will be acceptable to me. I was never too high on him, and really disliked him sitting out of the bowl game. I hope he has a great career, I'm pulling for him. I just don't care if it's at LSU or not.

You think Walker goes from willingly redshirting, basically asking to RS then up and quits because he’s not QB1 in year 2?

I don't think that would be Walker's plan. He has plenty of time to play. Besides, Kelly has a plan and it is laid out for years. Trust the plan. This isn't flying by the seat of our pants like we were doing with O. There's no need to be in a hurry, the roster around you is only going to get better year after year. You think '23 and '24 are going to be great? What about '25?

There are going to be a lot of teams looking for a QB in the portal with Notre Dame being one of them. I am not saying he leaves but they are going to court Howard big time to come be the starter next year.

The Howard’s understand that there son will get significant playing time next year and have 1-2 years to take the helm…. It’s in both LSU as well as Jayden’s best interest to return for next year.

Well If he does come back I'm sure it want be a competiton like some think it will be. He will come back locked in as #1 starter from day 1 practice.

He could probably enter the draft & get taken in the 6th or 7th round this year, but that would be foolish on his part imo.

If he comes back & improves his passing game...I could see him going somewhere in rounds 2-4. He doesn't even have to be a great passer...he just needs to show improvement. Some team will take him bc he's an elite running QB.

His running ability gives him tremendous value. He runs like a gazelle, absorbs hits very well, & has GREAT ball security. His running game is filthy.

Burrow didn't look like a #1 NFL pick and top 5 QB in the NFL His Jr year either. frick off, if he comes back and doesn't get beaten out for the QB job he's still the best we have, if that's the case be happy he came back ffs.

Burrow sat the bench for 2 years bedore he got here, Jayden has been starting for years. Pretty big difference

Nuss made the right decision for himself by not burning his red shirt last year
