With continued development of the Offensive line, next year Jayden could bring a National Championship. Walker could step in the following year and provide one also in 2024 (if healthy, our O-line should be stellar).

You think Walker goes from willingly redshirting, basically asking to RS then up and quits because he’s not QB1 in year 2?

Would have a totally clear path to starting for 1-2 years after that unless Rickie Collins is just unreal.

I've seen Collins play in person and he is pretty good. Makes good decisions, throws a pretty good-looking pass, and can run. Looked way better in person than Manning did vs LCA.

That being said, he did look to be as good a passer as Howard did in HS.

Some would have said the same about Burrow through most of his first year with us.

True, but it was Joe's first year starting. Jayden has started for four years. Not sure how much different he is going to look. Seems like he is who he is at this point. But you never know. I'd certainly rather him than a first-time starter if he wants to come back.

JD WILL NEVER BE AN NFL QB.

That won't change with another year of misreads and run-first mentality. He doesn't have good touch and obviously only throws to wide open receivers.

Ah, that's not for certain. Plenty of people were saying the same thing about Jalen Hurts. He's on the brink of being All Pro in the NFL. He was crap at Bama. Won all but a couple games, threw to wide open recievers. Played behind the best Olines. Went to OU and turned into an ELITE QB. And has continues to be one in the NFL. For me, that's a head scratcher every time I see him play.

Shea and Matthew Brune do a podcast together every Monday, and Shea's words "I expect Jayden to be back."

They kind of went down the rabbit hole of from what Shea has heard Jayden will not be participating in Senior night this weekend and the "rumblings" are that he's coming back next year.

FWIW

I'm no NFL scout, but you'd have to be blind to not see the deficiencies he has in the passing game. He does seem to be progressing, but he's nowhere close at the moment.

I would think he wouldn't be drafted in the top 4 rounds right now. I realize that's harsh, but I think it's reality.

As hell bent as Howard was about redshirting, you would expect them to be good with sitting again.

I agree Nuss will probably transfer

That seems like a wise decision.

I would feel bad for him, but the whole sitting out the bowl game left a bad taste in my mouth.

Burrow didn't look like a #1 NFL pick and top 5 QB in the NFL His Jr year either. frick off, if he comes back and doesn't get beaten out for the QB job he's still the best we have, if that's the case be happy he came back ffs.

You’re delusional. Daniels will be a pre-season heisman favorite & projected top draft pick if he comes back.

Yeah, that was unfortunate and a bad decision. But with the way things work these days with college athletes, it shouldn't have surprised you. Most of them are me first, their brand and future earnings. Their future playing time first. I am sure he thought he was a shoe in to start at LSU for at least 3 more years. I'm not saying I agree with his decision, but I understand.

Shea has been just about 50/50 on every prediction for the last 20 years dont know why anybody takes him at his word.

He needs to not throw the ball so hard

Walker's out then. In this league, with the current NIL money getting thrown around and the ability to transfer, you establish yourself early or risk sitting and getting passed up by someone else down the road.

This is so stupid.

Walker Howard is not transferring just because he doesn’t get anointed in year 2. He’ll stay and compete, and he’ll be one injury away from being the starter.

Who's to say JD starts but struggles and Howard comes in and excels. You don't think if JD is struggling getting the ball out in a game next year that they wouldn't put Howard in there?

He's nowhere near NFL level. Too many bad games, misses a lot of open receivers, makes bad throws when they are open, and he is slow to make a decision.

Well alright then by your logic Daniels will be lighting up UGA and whoever we play next year. I would be happy to be wrong on this one.

Don't think it would be an issue for Howard at all. It seems like he and daniels have a good relationship - Howard is always next to him on the sidelines.

It could be best case scenario - especially since hurley is so young - it does work well on paper.
