Just in that last drive, Auburn was called for a fair catch that clearly wasn’t. Then they missed a clear hands to the face on Brown on 3rd down. That’s an auto-flag. They have been blowing calls all game.

This conference’s handling of officiating across all sports is a pathetic, second-class joke. Just another indictment on the terrible leadership at the top.

It ain’t just the SEC. It’s universally terrible across all conferences and even the NFL.

The SEC, like the NFL, make too much money not to have full time officials. These guys should be drilled year round on scenarios, hypotheticals, etc. They should also be in excellent shape. If the current officials have a problem with that replace them.

They missed hands to the face on the kutas at least 2 times.

It's 45-15, and Ole Miss dropped a wide-open TD as well. I don't think the refs are playing a real role in this beatdown.

They extended a key drive 3 separate 3rd downs for OM

Is the SEC the last major conference that doesn't allow tv to look in a listen to the review process?

What drive was key in this 45-15 blowout? If Ole Miss was losing and that was on the winning drive in the 4th quarter, then you might have something.

Does it surprise you that a conference run by Sankey has crap for officials?

Well if they’ve extended 3 different drives on crucial 3rd downs for Ole Miss, if they’ve scored on all 3 of those drives thanks to the refs helping them down the field then the score would be a manageable 24-15 right now. That makes a big difference. Auburn may have gotten some momentum if Ole Miss would have had to punt all those times and who knows, Auburn may have scored to make the game even closer.

As long as the refs are employed by the conferences, this will be a problem. Have the NCAA sign their checks. With 24 playoff teams coming, I don’t see too much frickery with officiating trying to get a team that 24th spot, but I am sure I’ll be proven wrong on that point.

OM was gonna beat Auburn regardless, but the Ref’s made sure it wasn’t even close. That drive in the 1st Q, where OM was 3rd &10, flag on Auburn, then like two more flags and OM finally scores. Then it was a two point OM lead when Auburn should have been up and that’s all she wrote!
Sankey had the red phone to those refs today.

Yes, because Sankey is in on the calls. You know, just to make sure it goes the right way! Wink wink.

Auburn scored to go down 17-15 and then the next 3 drives included the 2 missed calls noted above and the Ole Miss drive that was aided by penalties.

Do you need us to hold your hand and explain how that can change a game?
