They damn sure better hope they weren’t because that’s where the discovery phase is going to be extremely interesting. The same school leaders that are supporting Sankey during the posturing stage will be coming for his neck when their individual recruiting records are subpoenaed.

Wright has said he has proof OM was trying to bring him back, Harris said OM wanted him to play offensive line, so they were definitely recruiting him too.

It’s about to get nasty for the SEC

Just admit you aren't aware of the timeline of events.

I am aware. Your gotcha doesn't matter.

If the SEC can kick us out, it takes 2/3 of the members to do so. The rest is irrelevant in that scenario.

Otherwise the SEC would be liable for expelling LSU.

For what? Following their rules that a federal court validated?

It would be a mockery of the court if the Alabama judge allowed this to carry out.

Question one.... SEC, what do you want LSU to do, not play pro players? well they haven't.
Which by the way, one can argue that LSU is now breaking the La. court ruling because the judge added a stipulation in there that LSU can't prohibit or prevent these players from playing but im no legal expert.

It’s time for LSU to leave. We carry the conference and it should take a lucrative offer to get us back. We will destroy every team if we don’t have to play a sec schedule and will make the playoffs every year. Sankey knows Kiffin is taking a Saban arch and wants to clear out LSU to make sure Georgia and Alabama can still be competitive.

Sankey is using his position for a personal vendetta.

His affidavit is nothing but him being butthurt

59. Defendants’ conduct creates competitive imbalance among SEC member institutions. LSU’s stated intent to roster professional athletes in contravention of the Professionalism Rules, while other institutions have followed the rules and rostered only college athletes, provides an unfair competitive advantage to LSU.

I didn't realize that the other players who finished their eligibility and went through the draft process were just "college atheletes"

60. Defendants’ conduct disrupts the settled expectations of studentathletes at other SEC institutions who relied on the rules governing roster composition and competitive fairness. Current college athletes who planned their careers around an established set of rules now face the prospect of being displaced by professional athletes.

That's why LSU will back down. You can win a court case, but the Texas Tech situation shows there are instances where the conferences and other schools can make your life such hell that you relent.

That is my exact thought. He was made to look like a fool because he did not know the answer to the test they created.

Say what?

By the way, I still sort of hope that this is all posturing by LK to get Chambliss ineligible...

Sankey makes 4.8 Million dollars a year. After distribution to member schools, the SEC keeps 29 Million a year. The SEC has a whopping 541 Million in assets, which may include cash, stocks, real estate, buildings or who knows what. Talk about making yourself a little empire for doing almost nothing! By contrast, the next biggest salary is paid to the Big Ten Commissioner and he only makes a paltry 2.4. The SEC is a fool for letting this man and the SEC administration gain so much power and wealth.

The guy cannot define professional under oath or acknowledge that European club basketball is professional under oath but wants to sanction LSU football for using professionals.

Even the "let's go independent" people ignore we have to get these teams from these big conferences to play us. Then we have to get the CFP to rate us.

I'm not convinced things actually come to a vote, but say it does and the SEC votes 15-0 to not expel, how much longer is Sankey employed?

15-0 to not expel is the most likely vote in my opinion, if a vote actually happens.

Let's bring out all the skeletons in the closet. Everyone else should be scared of this because LSU skeletons are already out. Everyone else is hiding them.

It's not a back down situation. It's about right and wrong and there is no proof that we had to players on the roster. Alabama had a basketball and it was fine by SEC standards but it's a problem when we consider it.

This federal case has not been heard yet but you’re assuming it’s a foregone conclusion that they will rule in favor of the plaintiff (sec)? Take your anti LSU bias to the Stanford board.

IMO, it’s hyperbole.

The SEC doesn’t have to ask a federal judge to OK voting a member out, just do it.

Theyre mad LSU got an 18 hour advertisement on how great the environment and program is, with every sports talking head blowing Lane and the team after humilating Dabo, the SEC has lost their edge in perception so now they have to pill this stunt.

Everyone just needs to “lighten up Francis” IMHO

This is exactly what will happen, because every team will be shitting themselves about their skeletons coming out the closet in the subsequent lawsuit
