I’d be down either putting the nail in A&M’s coffin or getting some revenge against Auburn after they swept us.

Like our chances to get that first W at least with Anderson on the mound against whoever makes it to Friday

They kinda do though. Difference is this time we won’t be playing in a jigsaw shaped outfield and Anderson will get the defensive support he needs

Different time around. Or do you start Eyanson if they are RH hitting heavy

No, there’s 2 games Thursday and 2 Friday. We have the late Friday game which imo is the best slot to get bc we can stay on our normal Friday night routine.

Too good. However, I was hoping to watch a day game at work on Friday. Oh well.

I don’t think they are in position to be playing for anything. They’re 15-15 in the SEC. They’re 100% in the tournament and nowhere near close to hosting

They’ll be traveling for a regional no matter what happens this week

ETA they’ve done well since firing Lemonis though and turned the season around from missing the tourney. 8-1 in the SEC since then

I’m glad this is single elimination. This will be a potential 3 game weekend series against different teams and I hope we get Auburn. I want the tigers to get revenge. LSU is 4-0 in neutral sites. Time to get locked in.

They are 9-1 since firing Lemonis. They beat Aggy and AU they might end up a 2 seed somewhere. They scored 50 runs and hit 15 HR this past series against Missouri. Their 3B Ace Reese has been on fire.

I encourage everyone here that is connected to LSU and has the time/resources to make time to visit and enjoy this great annual spectacle of the best of what our great sport of collegiate baseball has to offer - you shan't be disappoint...

the only thing about potential pitching matchups is that the state vs aggie game is going to be played so early in the week that we have no idea of knowing who they plan on pitching first . I doubt state throws their ace on short rest .

aggie may feel like they need to win a game to get in so they will likely start their best rested pitcher even if its not full rest.

I think auburn will throw their number two against us though or they may pitch Johnny wholestaff and then Dutton against us ,just to keep him on schedule.

its almost impossible to predict what pitchers we will face

Just going to get out in front of this now. If we lose to Auburn, the SEC tournament does not matter. If we beat Auburn, it proves that we are actually better and the sweep was a fluke.

Yeah Mississippi State has a top 2 SEC offense, and they’ve been on fire.

Agreed. I believe that because of the "early in the week" games, whoever we play on Friday it will likely be their ace, possibly their #2 guy.
