So why don’t this imply to ineligible players also that were ruled eligible by a state judge
( Chambliss) . They can ban these players that were ruled eligible by a state judge . So why can they ban others that were ruled ineligible….. either you’re eligible or not according to the ncaa.

Time for 32-64 of the top athletic schools to break ties with the NCAA and conferences to form their own league. It’s about the only thing that makes sense anymore.

Notice the language. For football, they deny everything, even “other professional football leagues.”
For basketball, it’s limited to NBA, g-league, or WNBA or affiliate. It doesn’t include foreign professional leagues.
Why haven’t they included other sports?
College soccer players, even those on scholarship, can play semipro in the offseason and some have even played professionally overseas. They are mainly washouts, but they got paid

He will not win. And the reason was clarified by the federal judge last month...
On August 2, 2026, U.S. District Judge Charlotte N. Sweeney in Denver clarified that the injunction did not override existing NCAA roster limits, transfer rules, or revenue-sharing caps, meaning players could only return if schools had available roster spots, eligibility and scholarship/revenue space.
The La. court cannot force a school to accept someone ineligible for multiple other reasons besides the exception created by the 5 for 5..
