LSU will buy MORE tickets straight up AND on the resale market, dominate the stadium + game, & drink all weekend. The PR from the news of the fan domination of the stadium alone will be enough to cover any "lost revenue" we stand to earn from playing in the Superdome.
But LSU would not see a dime of the money from ticket or concession sales in Tulane’s stadium when LSU is bringing a large Majority the fans and the television viewers. Why should that all happen for Tulane to make a bunch of money off of LSU fans?

Hey fellow Chalmation, I will believe OU coming to NIMBA Stadium when I see it. That is why God put escape clauses in contract.

I'm fine with playing Tulane in the Dome. It just gives LSU more opportunities to recruit the New Orleans kids and it's not a bad venue.

This, and it’s happened every time LSU has played Tulane in NOLA for decades. In fact, when they hosted a regional here around 20 years ago and I went looking for tickets, they wanted a donation to their athletic foundation just to be considered. It’s always a money grab with Tulane. Screw em.

I agree tulane screws LSU on tickets everytime we play them in any sport..that's why we need not too play them anymore in any sport period
Wonder what idiot at tulane made the decision to leave the SEC in the 60"s to go independent....

Then negotiate a fair deal for having LSU play at Yulman.
playing in the Dome will be an absolute WASTE of an experience. for better or worse, LSU fans have been to the Dome. They want HOME games or "new" away venues/experiences.
It's not like 1 away game is going to break the LSU bank...

Yeah, i can see LSU agreeing to play at 30k seat Yulman.
with its dead grass colored turf.
The dome seats 67,000

I think I still want to embarrass them in front of their “fans”, but they haven’t done anything to prove their worthy of a home visit from a blueblood

In the weenies last games in T.S. they never sold their ticket allotment. If they do not care about playing LSU, why should we waste time discussing it? It would be a safe bet that there are no greenies pounding the drums to play LSU anywhere. And there is no way LSU gives up all the revenue from a home game, what, well over a million dollars? Finally, the weenies are in no position to demand anything from LSU, especially a home and home series.

LSU is playing Rice in Houston
Exactly, I think Tulane is a better team than Rice, Lol, I mean just open it as a neutral site opening game like everyone else does, they let Bama beat up on Duke in Atlanta, I would love to see Lsu and Tulane home and home, BR & Superdome

I’m sorry but we don’t go play an away game at Tulane.
I don’t see the problem. Hell, I’d be happy playing away games at Tech or ULL. We’d bring thousands of fans, probably help sell out the stadium with a lot of hype about big bad LSU coming to town. Then we beat the fvck out of ‘em.

LSU is never going on the road to play at anything less than a power5 brand name team such as Texas. Syracuse was the closest thing to Tulane that they have done. After 2019, we definitely ain’t playing at Yulman. I do think it’s a very nice stadium.

isn’t Oklahoma coming there?
No shite?! Damn I wonder how much Tulane forked over for that

Honestly I’d rather us play at Tech than Tulane. Playing at Tech would get every single big time recruits attention in NELA and NWLA. Again, I know either scenario is crazy unlikely, but it’d be cool to be able to drive 30 minutes up the road for a LSU game.

As long as LSU never sets foot in that tiny shitbox high school stadium on Tulane’s campus, I’m Ok with playing Tulane.

Tulane, a smaller private school, could not keep up with schools like LSU and Alabama giving out 100’s of football scholarships. Had Tulane remained, they be on the level of Vanderbilt football at best. They figured they’d be more competitive as an independent.
