Scott seems to think that a high powered offense would have our defense on the field too much and wouldn’t work. “Tiger fans wouldn’t like winning every game 48-47.”

I’m amazed how dumb he is if he doesn’t think a Mike Leach led offense coupled with a Dave Aranda led defense wouldn’t be successful. Especially with the talent, resources, and facilities that LSU and Louisiana possesses. Does anyone agree with this guy?! Wtf is he smoking

John Chavis was successful here but not at aTm or Arkansas.

it would certainly have some effect but at a certain point you have to realize where CFB is headed and accept there needs to be some give and take.

you dline would have to be so strong that you were forcing a lot of 3 and outs against everyone.

we could have some success with it, but like he says, we would have a lot of high scoring games on both sides.

What kind of sense is that? Nonsense. The defense gets itself off the dang field.

Can’t be on the field much more than they are now.

It also wouldn't work because we aren't going to convince the current head coach of the 1st place team in the PAC to come be LSU's OC

What kind of offensive coordinator would Dave Aranda choose. That is a question i'm not sure of.

Our defense is on the field all the time bc the offense is off the field so quickly with 3,4, 5 n outs.

Its some sort of strange Stockholm Syndrome LSU fans are suffering. Offer them freedom from our offensive woes and they lose their minds "Good God man, will you please think of the poor defense?!?"

Leach wouldn’t work here because he’s an abysmal recruiter. He has not consistently competed for championships at any of his stops because he doesn’t have consistent talent.

Louisiana has top flight talent, but LSU does not recruit itself. LA would be raided and the resulting talent deficiency could not always be overcome by Leach’s technical brilliance. The fan base would not grant him patience.

Seems like scoring every 8 plays would help the defense alot more than punting every 8 plays.

Fun fact: Aranda was a GA on a Leach TT staff that included Art Briles.
